When driving, or "it just appeared": One day they were fine, then walked back to it and it and noticed it was smashed.
Cost of replacement: Don't know as I changed the car when it got smashed due to faulty handbrake. Did not know about this site at the time or the now obvious problem with the Fog Light.

Can' t believe it, another cracked fog light, thats the second one in three months!! I really resent having to pay out another £100 especially if it happens again, has anybody here had any luck with claiming replacement fog lamps under warranty? as it seems the design is seriously flawed.

Cost of replacement: about £125

Was surprised it smashed since the glass seemed quite thick, and didn't see a point of impact from stone etc.

Two smashed already

Number broken: 2
Age of car: ~9 months
Mileage: 13 000 km
When driving, or "it just appeared": It just appeared
Cost of replacement: ~60 euros (haven't fixed the second one yet)

There must be some sort of faulty design in front fog lights

Me too

I do about 25k a year and noticed it after about 10k, mainly motorway driving so thought it was that. Cost about £220 to repair, (£70 for the part and then labour)

smashed fog lights

Car 2006 EX 2.2
Both lights shatterered. no signs of impact from stones just very finely smashed. only actually broke when I pressed them in. This tells me that the breakage is not caused by impact.

Quoted cost of replacement by honda dealer. £300.

Front left fog light smashed

Car: Type-r 07
15000km on the tripcounter.

Fog light smashed on a clear and dry day here in sweden, most of the gravel on the streets had been gone for a week or two.

I always walk around the car before going of for a drive, to make sure no1 has done some dumb **** on it, That day all seemed fine. Until after the drive, i hadnt notice loads of gravel on the streets, but I recon it must have been a stone smashing my left side fog light.. even the bulb was smashed.. and now the dealer wants lik 3k sek to replace it..

"it just appeared": Noticed the first one at work, the second a few months later while washing my car.
Cost of replacement: Dont remember, but its more than I want to pay.

I had them installed at the dealer when I bought the car. I thought it was from flying rocks on I80. At least I'm not the only one. The lights still work but both lenses have about a 2" hole in them. It sucks that the entire assembly has to be replaced and not just the lenses.
