Strawberry, can you confirm you used the long extension to avoid taking the splitter off? I need to change mine but dont want to pay for either a dealer to do it, nor spend my weekend popping off bumpers! I heard that some fogs pop out when you take the nut off and others don't, so you have to take the long route and get the front of the car removed.

I noticed my right fog light was broken yesterday. No traces of anything hitting it, just 2 cracks across the glass surface.
Is there anyone who had this replaced is warranty? Is this issue admitted by Honda as a design flaw?

HI FRIEND, FROM GREECE.
I REPLACE IT IN WARRANTY 4-5 DAYS AFTER I TOOK THE CAR. ABOUT 300KM. THEY ASKED OF COURCE HOW ITS BROKEN. I SAID THEM I DONT NOW I THINK ITS LIKE THIS FROM THE FACTORY, AND I DONT CARE. ITS BROKEN I WANT A NEW IN WARRANTY. I WAS WAITING 2 MONTHS, BUT THEY CHANGE IT. THEY ARE "BAD BOYS". SAY THEM ABOUT THE FOROUM AND THAT IS A WORLD PROBLEM AND NOT ONLY IN YOUR CAR. GOOD LUCK. YOU NEED IT WITH "THEM".

Hi Koen ,
I havnt tried claming under warranty but I`m systematically working through the thigs that are wrong so might bring that up with them at some point ....and to beef4dinner the front of the car needs to be jacked up to get the long extention under but no you don`t need to take the front of the car off....If I end up doing it myself will post some pics.

Angry Mine too!!!!!

Had both of my front fog lights replaced and nearly fell over when my local Honda dealer told me the replacement price. Will do it myself if it happens again. I have found Honda do not have very good customer service!! My car must have been back to the dealer 10 times at least for one thing or another. Not impressed.

Well it looks like I've finally joined this club - after being about the only fault my car was missing. The car was parked in a conference center multi storey last week in Liverpool (lots of hot and cold days). I'm positive the car was OK when I parked up as I deliberately checked it knowing that it had 4 days ahead of it in a city known for car crime! Drivers side btw.

Hi guys,

NHB Type R GT 57 plate 13000 miles owned since September.

I am so disappointed. Went to dealers at Brayley Honda in Hatfield topday for first service and was chatting to my salesman about the stone chips on my bonnet (9 in total!) when he pointed out that my foglight was cracked... I only had a new one replaced a month ago!!

I told him I am not paying for another one it cost me 100 quid last time and thats WITH a discount! Will have to get it replaced soon though but I was so annoyed and he said he could not sort me out with a free one so will be taking my Type R back next week to get a new fog light and get my whole bonnet redone by someone he recommended.

My advice...get some armourguard for your front bonnet and buy some fog light protector covers this is what I'm going to do now.

Not happy, just been outside walking past my car , noticed the drivers side foglight smashed, think it just appeared, however have been doing quite a bit of Autobahn driving over the last few weeks.

Will take a trip to the dealers and get a quote, see if they will repair under warranty?

Smashed Fog Lamp - Moron in Car Park

My driver's side fog lamp was smashed in the station car park this week. I know it happened there because of the pile of glass in front of the car. I'm pretty certain it was caused by an idiot driving a Volvo 4x4 with the back window obscured by "Child on Board", "Spoilt Brat Princess" and "Overindulgent parent not paying attention" stickers.... and a tow bar used to park by feel.

Why this car? I saw the driver reverse into the station fence earlier in the week and she was parked in the bay in front of me on the day it happened.
