I am guessing using the second indicator as a position light is not as simple as swapping wires over, if you remove the smaller bulb from the indicator circuit will it make the bulbs flash quicker/slower, would something need adding to the circuit to mimic the presence of the smaller bulb. Could this be done by replacing the large indicator bulb with one of a wattage equal to the combined wattage of the smaller and larger combined?

Are there any legal issues having an Orange light permanently on at the front of the car, I can see it would be handy when pulling out of dark side roads etc.

In WoolyCivs pictures there is only one bulb, surely.

The curved side reflector makes the image appear slimmer and the eye is tricked into seeing it as an extra bulb, or have I failed to grasp the situation - again!

I thougt indicator's go all the time! is that not the reason for the fake clicking relay noise that you still get with indicators ? I have always had them poping

Just had a good look at the indicators and I'd say that there's only one bulb. I think it's just a reflection.

Well I bet if you remove the turn indicator bulb then the other one will disappear as well!

Hope this proves you are both wrong

Click the image to open in full size.

You can clearly see two differently shaped envelopes

I have to admit to looking twice at it, you could easily mistake the reflection for a second bulb though.

Think this is quite funny really. Sorry guys, I admit I looked too and thought that yes there was 2 bulbs, but was shocked that both worked when I flashed the hazards.
but on really close inspection you can just about make out that the second bulb is a reflection.

I just think it's really funny that its taken us 2 pages to find out
