Centre Brake Light ?

Is it just me or is anybody else wondering why the centre brake light on the rear spoiler doesn't light up all the way accross ? Does it light up fully under emergency braking ?

is it just the effect that it has?? has it got a prism that makes the light spread out from a single bulb?

If I remember correctly (when I installed my backup camera) there are only 3LED's inside, using a deflector.
This is making the light not so visible from the side.
I bet they will change to a full LED bar for 2008 model. Just to tease us.

I saw a civic last week with only 2/3rds lit up, i laughed as i thought they had a faulty one, it seems as i was really laughing at myself. I wonder why they didn't just do a full bar. I love the centre brake light on the bentlys, it goes across the whole top of the rear windscreen

I've noticed that some light up more than others, i looked at mine in the reflection of a window and i'd say that mines about 90% lit up!

Maybe its not tangible, more like a state of mind. Certain people see more than others, like a magic eye brake light.

My god im tired

For the price of a bently i would want a fair few leds
is there the room to to add a few leds or replace the honda setup with a strip of leds ?

Look carefully you can see the brake light, looking in the rear view mirror (when it is very dark outside).
I like the brake light on our HRV.
It is a full bar going from complete left to right, in the roof spoiler. Nice.

It really depends on the angle you look at it. I drive past the factory at least once a week and so I see a lot of Civics, the bulb lights up in the centre (I think it is just 1, regular bulb rather than LEDs) and so dependant on the angle on how much brake light is seen.

It is a cheapo affair, and really should be LEDs.
