HID HID Kit on Full/Main Beam Headlights

Hi,

Has anyone out there fitted a HID kit to the full/main beam headlights. Reason I'm asking is that I have an existing kit removed from my current car ready to go into my Civic EX. The bulbs for the current kit are 6000k H7 but I can just buy some H1 bulbs for it and use them for the high/full beams on the Civic.

Has anyone fitted such a kit and was it easy to do and where to position the ballasts in the engine bay.

Doesn't the EX come with HIDs as standard

Thanks for the replies lads.

Yeah I've read the thread but noone mentions if they have them fitted to high beams.

Invest in some decent HIDS though as there are plenty of cheap tat available out there. I brought my kit from HIDS4U Ltd - UK's Number 1 HID Conversion Kit Specialists.

Yeah but High Beams are standard halogen bulbs. The question is whether or not some has done both high beam and low beam HIDS.

It's not a good idea to use HIDs on Main beam as they take a little time to come up to brightness so are useless for flashing, unless cars are fitted with the H4 (both beams in one bulb) in which case you can get one with a shutter that move to give the 2 beams. Just use normal (high output) Halogens for main beam.
