Problem with my dash lights on my CTR GT?

I dont think i'm paranoid but I was searching through Wiki yesterday and noticed this picture of the dash etc lit up at night...

What is the Little Blue Light for? - Civinfo Wiki

When I brought the CTR 3 weeks ago.. I thought the lights were dim and read the manual and turned the brightness up to max with the little knob. However, its still not that bright and no where near as bright as the pic on wiki!

When driving at night, you can hardly see the stereo/temp controls/ steering wheel illuminations like the wiki picture... Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem?

Nope that photo is not what it looks like in real life, it's a camera trick/technique IIRC.

No problem, the lights you mentioned are dim.

Cool.. thanks for reply NEEMSTAR.

I really thought there was a problem, never came across such dim lights, especially with such a bright rev counter! Is there anything I can do to improve the lighting?

Without changing the bulbs I don't know what you could do.

Some discussion here:

dash button illumination, green to blue???

In short.. no

It was taken with a long exposure, to highlight where the little blue light (up in the headling) shines down

I'm only quoting the explanation at the time

Anything much beyond "point" and "click" is a bit beyond me these days

it's easy to make the little blue/red light up by the reverse mirror a bit brighter*, but not the rest of them

* take off the cover and dremmel the hole a bit

and you're welcome Eckchaz

Yes I agree the steering wheel switches are dim, I suppose if they were brighter then people may complain, as they could put you off while driving.
