Maybe it would look better if somehow just the 'H' was illuminated from behind the same way that Wolseley cars had their badge illuminated many moons ago. The Wolseley badge top of the radiator was softley lit up....
Jeez, showing my age now ! |

How to light up the "H": 1.jpg 2.jpg Materials: Wire blue (+) and chestnut (-) I took of 0,75 mm2 like section ..... Three leds white leds of 5mm 12.000 Mcd with resistor: 3.jpg 4.jpg Some connectors like this: 5.jpg 6.jpg 7.jpg Sheath thermo and insulating fabric 8.jpg Tools A soldering iron + solder: 9.jpg 10.jpg A small drill with a bits of diam. 6 and diam. 5 11.jpg + flat screwdriver, cutter, grip with fine nozzle…. (small tools) To start: To prepare the leds (has to make Three times) It is necessary to weld onto each leds (3) a resistance onto (+) From memory it (+) onto a leds is the longest leg Then a blue piece of wire on (+) piece of maroon wire on (-) 12.jpg Then place a sheath on to each leg for insulation. 13.jpg Then to dismount the black mask has the front one, to remove the fasteners to pay great attention it are fragile, it is necessary to place a flat screwdriver of each coast of the fastener and to draw to the top gently by making light movement from left to right. Then to dismount the mask of bulb headlight (me I chose coast accumulator) and to bore a hole in the centre of the aforementioned. 14.jpg Then to carry out a piece of wire as on the photograph and to pass it in the hole 15.jpg Then reference mark the leg (+) of the side-lights (light blue) 16.jpg To place a connector on this wire and the end of the son to pass in the lid of the mask 17.jpg Second stage: Boring of the grille by the top: PS: I have to replace the black mask to withdraw at the beginning, to trace his position on the grille, as that when I give it to the end, one does not see anything ....... For boring it is enough to go there all gently, I start with bored with the wick of 6 ONLY plastic, all into blowing to make leave the pieces of plastic. When plastic is bored, I change wick (5) and I bore the interior part (reflectors). Small trick, if particle falls into the reflectors, I to use a very fine rigid sheath that I master keys in the hole to the particle, then I aspire gently to make it go up in the sheath to stuck on the end, I continuous has to aspire until the sheath that is to say any more in the reflectors and here I have to remove the plastic particle Once borings carried out, I place the leds in each hole, which I clog with cement of plumbing (favours: it is waterproof, it is malleable, if ever a leds should be changed, that remains easily dismountable). 18.jpg Then it is very simple, hardest is done ....... For the connexion the blue ones (+) on the blue son who comes from the mask that one made front For chestnuts (-) I put them together and to place on a mass 19.jpg ZOOM (detail connection leds on food) 20.jpg Then one can of insulating fabric on the connector industries blue…. And one gives the black mask and the clips which it is enough to insert in the holes. 21.jpg 22.jpg 23.jpg 24.jpg Finished result: 25.jpg Mandrake10 Here is ...... Good luck! |
