Not very bright!
I've been a bit bemused with the HID's recently, they just don't seem very bright at all. Now i agree with the auto dipping and that it doesn't illuminate enough of the road, but the actual light emitted looks positively dull. The longer nights has just highlighted this to me. Anyone else have similar views?

Hiya mate,
I was a bit upset when the car came out and Honda, for some reason, decided NOT to make the headlights in the style of the Projector lights. I reckon they make the light just a little brighter (however, this is not a scientific fact - they just look brighter to me)! What do you think of the Projector lights? |

A few weeks ago i would have agreed with you i had xeon bulbs in my 307 and they were alot brighter and wider ,but after reading about poor lights and how to adjust theses lights i thought i would try to adjust them after much testing i finshed on 1 to 1,25 turns up on both lights and there lots better , as good speard and full beam as my 307 and the dips are maybe 10% worst then my adjusted 307, but alot better so my tip would be see if your light are setup propley or try to adjust them abit at first and see if it makes them better or not , easy to adjust and put back if you dont get any benfit.
My slight moan is when I came back from work the other morning it was quite misty not real fog but i thought Id try the fog lamps and what a slight ive got boz eyed fog lamps I thought , 1 lamp lights the far half of the verge up and the dike up the other one trys to light the other verge up , not 1 watt in front of the car, has anyone used then in real fog do they work or more civic for show ? Um, that is exactly what fog lights are supposed to do, so in that case yours are working perfectly! Fogs should only be used if you are getting glare from your dipped beam from thick fog or possibly falling snow. The fog lights are designed to lilluminate the edges of the road so you can make slow, safe progress. Remember, you need to be able to stop well withing the distance you can see to be clear, so if the fog is that thick... Also, fog lights should not really light up the road ahead of you, that would be dangerous as it would over illuminate your foreground and would stop you seeing far. |

The Fogs are illegal unless visibility is sufficiently poor and even then its only in very bad conditions, the glare blinds oncoming motorists, they're a pet hate of mine, never use them!

Well, I hate when people use front fog lights unnecessarily (especially ones with only fog limps, and no low beams).
But, that is nothing compared to rear fog lights, that some people tend to use even in city, even when there's no fog. Now that are people I would shoot down. |

I suspect they think it makes their car look like some sort of rally car and therefore if they turn them on, they are instantly cool.
