Wink Flat LED strip lights are now 12" long -15LEDs

Lucid mentioned that you guys like the foot well lights and we do them.

These have been selling well on other sites and discounts offered to club Members. so thought I better be charitable and also offer them with half price P&P/discounts to *** on here too.

so 12" Flexi Strip lights (twin pack, with 15 LEDs) Blue, Red or White
from £11.50 click the banner and you'll see them there.

What connections are on the end of these? Are they standard 12v? And how long is the cabling, ie. Would it be easy enough to hook up to the glovebox light (both of them)

dead easy to hook up, its just a + - wire, theres easily 1m+ of wire on them. also a switch too.

just for you this is how they come. each LED strip in its own pack, wire and one switch

Do you have to solder the switch in yourself?
Does anybody here know how you could add a dimmer easily? Would this be possible? Not so it autodims, but just so it doesn't blind me.

I was thinking of adding some circuitry to take a feed from the Interior light, and when that operates, the Footwells become brighter ... and on closing the door, dimming so that it's not such a distraction ...

To get the brightness correct, I'll drop Pot. Resistors onto the board that I make up. Should be a little project for me in 2007

If you want to make two whilst your at it then feel free! In fact I'd make 10 because I think there may be a demand for them!

If you could send me the circuit diagram then that would be much appreciated.
To be honest I'm not too bothered about them fading in and out; I'm just worried that they'll be too bright (would like to drive with them on) and would really just like to be able to manually turn them up and down as required.

best thing to do is what I did, wire direct off a power source and have a switch on them to turm off/on as you like.
if you fit them facing down you won't find them too dazzlin in your eyes

How bright are they? Do you normally drive with them on? I'm looking at wiring them off the glove box light?

Its like being in science lessons again, playing with switches, postive, negative lol...

Lights look nice, but the packaging looks abit 'cheap' (N) IMO, £11,50 is abit on the pricey side for that item.. I would pay about 6-7£ for a strip from a retailer, as they're only 2-3£ a strip from 'over sea's'

Anyways, Yes they look nice on your TVR.

the posher the packaging and larger it is, costs more money and takes up more room for shipping, costing me more too... that gets passed on to the customer.

£2-3 a strip from over seas..... if you buy 1000s LOL

you pay £7 a strip from a retail store....?
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...rce=14&doy=4m1

or GB driver do 1x20cm strip delivered for £14.98

Light wave do 2x3" 3LED for £9.99+p&p
http://www.litewave.co.uk/lighting_gizmos.asp

Or get TWO of the same strips for £11.50 and half price P&P from www.neoquip.com
I only got a 'C' in maths but I don't think thats sounds a bad offer IMO
and its not ripping anyone off. Your living in a fre country so you're allowed to buy from where you like.

people aren't in business to be a charity but if you want cheap buy off ebay and see how good some companies customer servie is.
