Got mine in the post yesterday thanks. Will fit them on Friday. The velcro stuff is mad! Clings like... ...blanket.

Really good service and they look decent quality too.

I've had mine for over a year now (slightly longer than the car!) and they've not dropped off or have even lookedlike dropping off. Plus I still have two intact foglights! Highly recomended.

fog light covers

I have a 2.2 EX and a pal of mine has some covers fitted to his TypeR, recommending them. Gray, do you still have some?

Cheers

I have asked a friend who is a steel fabricator if he can have a go and make a set. He proposes a slightly differnt version that that would have be oversized and be made of chrome mesh ( like spot lamp covers )
I will keep you posted if interested

Smile Got mine ...

I received my "gray52" covers last week (while I was away for a few days) and will be fitting this week (as soon as it stops raining !) ...

Many thanks to gray52 for the kit \ instructions - they 'look the biz' ...

p.s. - the trip away was to see Eric Clapton (God with Guitar) play live in Bergen - I drove (circa 4.5 hours each way including ferries) - slow trip to see 'slowhand' - but a truly great Concert ! ...

I should have mentioned that 'gray52' sent them long before I received them, but they fell foul of the "Norwegian Customs Nazis" and his packet of "deadly perspex and paper" sat in the bonded Post-Office in Oslo (Gardemoen Airport) for many-many days, while being searched \ scanned \ interrogated mercilessly ... eventually released without charge ! ...

In comparison, 'gers' sent his "Honda" brake-light transfer on Tuesday last week and I received it on Thursday ! ... seems that this particular "plastic-tape-terrorist" was better disguised ! ...

Note - absolutely no joking - I have had packages (internet shopping) sit at Oslo for up to 24 days ... only for the Customs people to then decide that not only was I not importing illegal goods, but that I wasn't even liable to Customs duty or VAT on them ! ... and not one word of apology, even after several enquiries \ complaints to the relevant people ...

this is strange as you are in the eec, as i do not have to declare whats init. a non eec country has to have an item declaration form stuck to it. may be the guy in customs wanted to copy them before releasing them, cheeky bugger!! glad there on and the brake light cover looks the biz as i have one of these as well

Cool EEC versus EU

Well, both 'gray52' and "2hondaS' are not wrong ...

Norway is not in the EU (European Union) but is in the equivalent of the old EEC (European Economic Community) ...

As such, Norway mostly follows \ abides by EU rules and legislation, but without any formal monetary or political ties ...

Thus, if I order something from a UK supplier, I get a price minus UK VAT, but I'm them liable to Norwegian VAT and Customs levy at the point of import (usually the bonded area at Gardermoen Airport) ...

However, low value items (like fog-light covers) and anything that doesn't attract Norwegian VAT (e.g. books), are not subject to a Customs levy at all - BUT - whether they have a declaration form attached or not, they could still be held for scanning and \ or manual searching ...

Norwegian Customs must have me on their 'suspect' list, because about 1/3 of all packages sent to my address from overseas, get delayed and opened \ examined \ resealed !!! ...
