I have replaced the rear light with the blue LED and turned off the front light, what are the opinions on whether I should replace the 2 up front, does it make a big difference, or does it become a little too blue. For now only driving in dusky light the blue at the back looks great, but I am not sure once we get into winter if thats enough, any thoughts?

Richierich, I'm in the same situation. I've changed the rear light but I'm reluctant to change the two up front. I'm thinking that I should just order the bulbs and try it out....There's nothing permanent so if I want to go back I just change the bulbs back. If I never use the blu bulbs again it's only €15....I'll just have to take the hit!!

Sure someone on here would buy them.

I'm also thinking about doing this, but sort of reluctant for the same reasons.

The footwell lighting looks ace, but I think too much ceiling blue would look very Max Power. Someone tell me otherwise!!

I have changed both front and rear lights and I have to say the effect is fantastic. Someone mentioned something about reading with the blue fronts lights on at night ( might have been Basegreen apologies if not) but no problems at all.

I checked for the price of the Honda interior blue lights today.

They were around £100, but then you need to fit yourself. The guy in parts said that there is a 1.5 hour labour charge ontop for fitting, but they do come with instructions. Maybe a possible after mod?

I think it was £97.78 = AROUND £100 ..................... if it was actually £100 I would have said £100

You could always check with your local dealer. I was simply pointing out that a saving can be made if self fitting this option.

Wooly can you also post pictures of what the led unit looks like when the car is put back together again and I am also assuming it is the same on the passenger and drivers side?

anyone got any ideas for a blue led/neon kit for the footwells that runs on 12v without a transformer as I want to DIY the lighting via a hardwire into fuse box?????? Where can I get a good quality wide angle light?

You could try Farnell or RS Components, both have quite a good website. I just searched for "blue led" and got plenty of results.

Just fitted the rear blue led festoon light and joined the club!! Can't wait for it to go dark to check it out fully!!
I might order red and blue led's for the front map lights then if anyone narks me off I (or my passenger) can turn them on and off really quickly to make me look like a plain clothed police car !!

Welcome to the club, it will look fantastic, don't go out to soon though, I was too eager and went out when it was still a little too light, kind of took the wind out of my sails, until I went out when it was dark. I am seriously considering the front ones also, but both blue, I think in winter when it is proper dark the centre light might not be enough, or stand out enough I should say

IKEA sell strip of Blue LED lighting. They use a mains transformer, but it may be that they are 12volts???

See the link below, they may well be an afterfit for the footwell lighting. 4 strips, so front and rear a possibility??

blue lighting

i,ve got the blue footwell lighting on my ex and it only comes on when you open the doors and then turns off when you start the engine. NOT ! worth the money. there is a mod on this site for changing the roof light for a blue led light which for £4 is much more effective as if your sad enough to want to drive around with it on gives off a much better light than the footwell leds.
