Had a think about this and I am going to istall some blue LEDs that come on with ignition. Already run an ignition switched power supply to the fuse area will use that.
When you get in car the blue interior light comes on then when you turn the key that will fade and the footwell lights will come on. Should be a good effect dont think I will try and build a fade into the foot lights might be beyond me, but then again a capacitor and a couple of resistors???

Will do a how to when I do this.

Bought some blue bulbs yesterday, 1.99 for 2 for the front, and 1.99 for the middle, how ever as they are sorta painted they end up abit turquoise/green, and after reading this post, Just placed an order for the LED, festoon middle light, and the front 4LED lights

Il get some pic's when its all done, Anyone know where I can get like a 12"+ NEON light tube, so I can stick it in the boot to light up the sound system:P

Regards Dan

Interior LED's

Have done both front & middle with the LED's.

Very pleased with the result and you can still read maps in the front - not that they are needed with the Sat Nav!

Tip : LED's are polarity dependant. If you fit them and they don't work, either turn the car round 180 or turn the LED's 180!

Tomthum,
could the bottom left be a door open signal?
i was thinking it through and if the footwell lights come on when the door is opened and fade down to a glow when it is closed then one of the pins must be a door open/closed pin??
Also what do all the other pins do?
so far as i can tell you only mentioned the top right and bottom left ones?

Hi all,
Can anyone who has had the ambient blue footwell lights fitted please tell me if the lighting is only in the drivers footwell or in both the drivers and passenger side. In the brochure it looks as though it is in both driver and passenger side.

The salesman I talked to over the phone about having this fitted informed me that it is only on the drivers side. Is this correct.

Thanks basegreen, I will get onto the dealership and speak to this salesman again and inform him that the lighting is on both sides.

Gone really mad!!

Gone and bunged 20 sperate blue LED's in the ceiling of my bathroom.

I can just sit there and imagine I'm behind the wheel all the time now!!!

Maybe I'm just losing it!!!

Not the angle the screen is....but it would work a treat in the shower cubicle!

The bottom of windscreen's interior is very awkward to reach and certainly not at all knuckle friendly - what we need is a thin (like the normal cloths) microfibre mitten - ambidextrous of course.

When's the next 'Dragons' Den 'series?

I ordered the 269 (it's a 6 LED 30mm festoon) in Blue or bluish white which I'm hoping will go with the 501 LED Super Bright White I've ordered.

Ps: The 264 is a 42mm.
