Bit confused here. The normal civic driving lights (don't know the English word..) are Xenon here in Belgian type R's. The parking lights and the lights you can use under low visibility when not bothering other drivers are not. Is it simply the case of replacing the none xenon bulbs with Xenons?

They will accept PayPal, Cheque or Postal Order. It will delay it by a few days but at least you'll get them.

Why not send them an email and explain the problem, they're very helpful.

Good luck.

PS: Or just get a friend to order them on their card and give them the cash.

NO!!
The Main beam is a conventional Halogen bulb (H1) and can be replaced with a Blue vision type bulb to make it look less yellow next to the Xenon dipped bulb.
I hope that clears up the confusion

Yes thank you, I am a bit disappointed with not having, what I think is called, the high beam and parkinglights in Xenon. I replaced the bulbs in my 1.7ctdi civic with Xenon look-a-likes from Philips and Osram. They both didn't last long(Osram wins by a month). Replaced them 3 times in the year I had this car.

May I bother you to explain why this isn't possible. I believed Xenon consisted of a ballast (converter that supplies the 12 000 volt or more starting voltage) and of course the head unit and the bulb. I hoped a little extra wirering and a bulb would do the trick. I think I read somewhere the Xenon gas in in de HID itself and not in the bulb. In that case it would probably not be possible without a new HID.

Its because the bulb needs time to charge up before it gets to maximum power.
Thats why it can't be used as a main beam

I like others disliked the standard lights on the Type R so I decided to change over to HID

First I changed what others refer to as dipped on this forum I labeled my photos as (Main) I also changed the parkers, I was so impressed with the light output and disliked the colour mismatch with Main (High Beam) I decided to change them over as well

Mine came with 18 months warranty on the ballast and 12 months on lamps
PS High beams come up to full brightness in about 2 sec first time then instantaneous following times
