Nice John,

But do the int. lights, dimmed so fast? (I don't have my car yet, so i don't know what the normal time is.)

And de footwell leds are now connected thru the int. light circuit and the head light circuit? I stil hope there is easier way for a non-electrical guy LOL.

In Germany it is available for 152 Euro. As every genuine extra equipment it is delivered with instruction "how to". I think with a very basic electric knowledge everybody can fix it. Have a try

Very good John, I have couple of questions....

1. When you say 'A 330 ohms resistor for dimming' do you mean for reducing the light level when connected to the sidelights/glovebox light?

2. Do they dim from full brightness with the int. lights after the doors have been closed.

3. Can you do an updated circuit diagram?

I too have used PC fan connectors in my setup so the footwell trims can be removed easily....

If your circuit works, then that's the final part of my setup complete. ('How to ' to follow soon!)

Bog,

When you do your how to, can you tell us what wires you took from where, and also where you got your relay from. I think this is a neater solution than my 2 led circuit solution so I wil update it as soon as I can see your how to!

Regarding the resistor, I recommend a variable resistor mounted somewhere accessable so you can change the brightness of the LED's or turn them off completely.

Will do! I think maplin do a relay that will be suitable, I'll have a look tonight.

I was planning to take the sidelight feed from the glovebox light and the int. light feed from the 'green wire' mentiond here by Stef in his PDF document. The only thing is, I'm not sure if this a PWM feed (Stef can you help?).

WooHoo!

Can't wait for the 'How to guide'.

Been looking at this thread for a while wondering if it was ever gonna be solved.

That Is Alot Of Messing About, Just Use The Wiring From The Centre Console In The Roof, Then Use 2 Set Of Lights, 1 For The Doors And One For The Lights, Then You Have The Best Of Both Worlds, Put In A Dimmer And Its Better Than Hondas Set Up.
