Interior Interior Dash lights go off when main headlights come on!

Hello, I have a problem with the interior instrument lights in my Honda Civic. I just got the car back this morning from the garage as they were replacing a relay to do with the air con. When I initially got inside the car and started the engine the instrument panels looked fine and all lit up, when I went to turn on my main headlights suddenly the all the instrument lights (including the radio display) went dim! Is this an option on the car that I'm able to change? Currently I cannot drive the car at night as I won't be able to see any instrument panels

Has anyone had the same problem before??

Welcome

You need to adjust the display brightness using the knob on the left hand side of the speedo (it has 2 settings, one for headlights off and one for headlights on) - you will be surprised how bright it will look in the dark when you turn it up to see it during the day

Of course this is all in the manual
