Head Confused about the headlights?

There have been chatting about headlights in different Civic models. In some countries HID's comes as in standard in Civic Sport and somewhere not. Here in Finland we don't get HID's when buying Civic Sport, only in EXE. I have been reading these chats here in Civinfo and I'm little bit confused what kind of lights I can use in my Civic Sport.
I was wondering to buy Xenon-lookalike-lights (not real HIDs), which seems to be still bright and blueish. What kid of bulbs I can use and what do you suggest. If i got it right, the real HID-lights are very expensive and needs to be installed somehow differently than those so-called Xenon's. Someone could correct me if I'm wrong?..
So any suggestions?

The HID lights are indeed the Xenon's (High Intensity Discharge).

They must be linked to an automatic levelling mechanism and headlight washers (at least in the UK they must).

This is why they are very awkward to fit as an aftermarket option and some owners tend to mimic the effect by using blue halogen bulbs.

I would use your countries Honda website to try and see what options each model comes with.

The Xenon-lookalike-lights are great if you want the look of HID headlamps, but in my experience, they are less than great for actually lighting the road ahead. Add to that the poor standard headlight design in the Civic, and that is a very good argument for not fitting these type of bulbs.
