don't think so, but not too blue or bright so won't attract the old bill

good idea. I'm sure the average tester wouldn't care but for five minutes work you might as well.

Have a look here as well:

Xenon HID - parking light bulbs don't match

I have these fitted and they really are as bright as they show. I got them from:

I tried the Autobulbsdirect Super Bright White 501's (as above) and they're purple. They're bright, but they're not white, and next to my HIDs, it's obvious that they're purple. I have seen some great looking white LEDs on cars coming the other way, but I've never managed to find any myself.

My 501 Super Bright White are just that; white (see picture in #7 above).

Suggest you have a word with Autobulbsdirect. They are very helpful.

Ps: Why don't you put the purple ones in you map reading lights? Mine give a brighter light with a blueish glow in there. Look good. Worth a try.

Couldn't agree more about Autobulbsdirect - great service, but I have had a set from them that were definitely purple tinged but I changed to:-

501 LED Extreme Power 1.5W 360 degree :: LED Extreme Power - NEW! :: Autobulbs Direct Ltd - Xenon bulbs, car bulbs, wiper blades, headlight, Osram, Ring, Philips

...... and BeJeez!, they're white - and bright for 1.5W rated!

But, as you can see, they're out of stock of white ones at the mo....

Oh dear; now it looks as if I'll have a spare pair of 501 Super Bright White for the map lights after I spend more money on these new ones!!
