Does anyone know if anything can be done to make the third brake light
look better from a distance Think I asked somthing similar before we had our civic and it was a case of yeah it's a bit naff isn't it It does work and looks fine right up behind another civic but from a distance it looks like it is knackered ( and before you start TC - don't |

I don't know, this has been mentioned before. Sometimes the whole bar isn't illuminated. Different cars seem to light up differently. Guess it's the way the light is reflected within the lamp.

Are they led's in the display?
They are very concious in which direction they show their brightness I believe. Several Civics that I've seen often look as though they have variations of intensity in that display. Can't report on Millie tho' I put the brake on and by the time I get around to the back to have a look the lights gone off again! "Would you like the violinist to play anything in particular? whilst you look at it you will see a perfect shining brake light but out on the open road if you are a little distance away from another civic infront of you it looks as if the brake light is not working properly I think CZ may be on the right lines I also think LED's would have been a much better idea |

I was behind a Civic the other day and checked this out. As Pottsy says there are 4 LEDs. Now the red brake light cover appears to be wide enough for at least 20 LEDs.
So Unless you are right behind it when the light can spread out into your vision it will look like most of the light does not work, which in effect with just 4 LEDs in the middle of the light is correct. I am sure Honda saved at least 3p per Civic putting less LEDs into the brake light. |
