Replacement sidelights

Hi all,

Like most of you I have been disappointed with the yellowish light from my sidelights when compared to bright white light from the HID's.

I would like to replace these with bulbs that give white light like the HID's.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I have read some of the threads but still feel a bit perplexed (big word) about all the options available. All I want is white light and road legal.

Thanks in advance!

The best replacement bulbs for the sidelights are the '501 LED Super Bright White' available from

Ps:....also here Xenon HID - parking light bulbs don't match

...incidentally; these 501 Super Bright White are also excellent for the front map reading lights and match perfectly if you have installed the White 6LED festoon centre roof light.

I have just replaced mine with the '501 LED Super Bright White'. No prizes for guessing which the new one is.

I reckon you should change the other one, or everyone will think that you are turning left!

Very easy. Lift the bonnet and the bulbs are accessible from inside at the back of the reflector. Just twist and pull. LED's have to be inserted the correct way round. If they don't work simply remove the bulb, twist 180o and replace.

Thanks for all your advice folks.

I've been on the autobulbs website and invested in the super bright white led side lights and the philips H1 xenon look main beam lights. Well impressed!

Only problem is that I seem to have left the cover from the offside lights in the engine bay and its subsequently disappeared, probably road kill somewhere!

Anyone any ideas of where I can source one, I've not yet had time to contact Honda to see how much they'll charge for the piece of plastic.

It could still be lodged on the under engine tray, maybe worth taking a look.

Contacted Honda, £10 odds plus vat for the cover.

I've looked around the engine bay with a torch and can't see it. It may be there but don't fancy getting someone to remove the plastic under tray just in case.

I'll just have to stump up the cash and remember not to let that happen again

has anyone got a picture of what these look like during the day. Are they visable, as some cheaper led's cant be seen during daylight.
