Blue Lights Difficulty

I've bought the bulbs, fitted the centre one easily, but donno why I can't seem to remove the 2 front bulbs, I can't seem to get a good enough grip to pull the bulbs out, anyone can help me here, from the articles it suppose to be easy enough, I think I am just doing something stupid!!!

You're doing nothing wrong, they should just pull out quite easily.

I did it and I'm an olden!

Just squeeze, wiggle and ease out.

Give it another try!

[Interior] Blue Lights Difficulty

I suspect that you have only removed the opaque plastic lens. Leave this in, you need to remove the whole plastic surround that the lens fits into...then you can grab the bulbs easily...I fitted 2 9led blue bulbs (ebay link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-9-LED-501-W...QQcmdZViewItem, it's a doddle and looks fantastic at night. Check out your civic manual, it shows you how to remove the surround. Sorted!

Thanx, I knew I was doing something silly...I put the clear plastic back it and removed the entire top piece and fitted the globes in easily...The blue interior looks amzing, makes a huge difference, especially when it reflects off the silver bits!

Here in Holland, blue interior light is standard, but only a small blue light between the front interior lights. Blue lights for the pedals is an extra for € 299. I'll order it as soon as possible.

Hajo,

that is the same everywhere.
what we are talking about here is replacing the normal white bulbs in the ceiling of the car with blue LEDs

Changing the interior lights for blue ones is probably the cheapest and easiest home mod and it looks wicked especially at night

I was concerned it wouldnt be bright enough to see at night but if you need to read something Ive found the light in the vanity mirror more than enough

Just did the interior lights on my Type R, as I wanted red and could only get the front 501's in red after alot of searching but not the centre festoon bulb decided not to change the bulbs but paint them with a bulb lacquer which did come in red, put 3 coats on for now and in the light seems to have done the trick will see in the dark if they need any more coats
