sort of...

I've got some pics of mine before

And I could take a couple of how it looks right now

But only if everyone promises not to remark on the fact that it needs a wash!
(Week holiday by the sea and not had chance to get the hose out since )

And of course, mine is black, not red...

Here are a couple of before and after pictures of the Type R lights.
The lights are also fitted with Philips Silver Vision bulbs to complete the transformation

A bit off topic but....

Foggy, everytime I look at your car it seems to get better and better! The changes you have made to the standard S are subtle but make it look even more god damn sexy, and the Vivid Blue is by far the best colour for the S!

A great example!

Hi,

Does anyone know if the indicators and the centre piece (the one with the fog and reverse lights) for the 5doors Civic, are the same size as the Type-R?

I think the stop indicators are the same for the 5doors, Type-S and Type-R (correct me if i'm wrong), so that doesn't need to be changed.

Cheers,

Francisco

Francisco.

yes - and no...

the centre piece is the same size

But!
On the 5dr, the fog lights are in the centre piece.
On the R, only the reverse ones are, with the fog being moved to the next light 'out' - which is a brake light on the 5dr.

Confused? (I am!)
Check out this thread for pics
Number of stop lights

I can be done (and a couple of people have - see the gallery), but it's not quite as straightforward as it could be

Hey TT,

So basically, I will also have to buy the stop lights as well (the inner part should be different right?).

And then it will be necessary to change the wiring, to make the lights work correctly...

I think i'm going for the turn signals only. Don't want to start messing with the wiring on a new car (lol).

BTW, any how-to?

Cheers

EDIT: I've seen Ivoke's rear end transformation, so basically it will be necessary to buy the left stop indicator from the Type-R (fog light there), and 'extend' the original fog wiring a bit (since it is on the middle)?

you got it fsl

There is a How To (of sorts ) for the rear indicators in the D-Tango thread

I'll turn it into a proper one when I get chance to get out there with a camera

But it's pretty straight forward and obvious once you get the parts

I don't think it makes a big enough difference to make it worthwhile!

IMHO well worth the effort/expense of doing. Improves the appearance as the rear light clusters are quite prominent. Photo's prove the point
