Thank you, but i read this guide. I think it would look more professional if the boxes would be under the lights. I think there might be plenty of room for them and would look more professional than the placement in the guide. The problem is, I don't know how to put the complete lights out of the civic.
Please help

this is how people usually install HID's on 8th generation and there are already holes for the box...so you don't need to think where to put it...I can look at factory installation and post pics from friends civic....

This would be nice. Best would be to hide the boxes under the lights, so it would look better if a policeman would look under the hood.

Does that not suggest that you shouldn't be fitting them?

I can't imagine that a copper would need to look under the hood to determine that you have HIDs fitted.

Simply asking you to turn them on and noticing the 'warm up delay' would do it.

Which doesn't answer your question (of how to get the light out) - sorry.

I think a cop would see if the xenon are original or siple Xenon kits. If you'd place the kits properly, so that you could'nt see that it is a kit, he wouldn't know that they aren't original. I saw that the lights of the executive(xenon) and Sport(Sport) are the same.

any cop worth his salt will spot the difference in about, ohhhh, 2 seconds I'm afraid.

in the UK at least, not sure about Slovenia

Which is not a slur!

In the UK, and (I believe) the rest of Europe, if you have Xenons fitted, you must also have 1) headlight washers, and 2) self leveling of the lights (to cope with heavy loads in the boot).

2) isn't easy to spot unless said copper recognises the manual beam adjustement knob on the dash, but
1) is a real giveaway.

Hmmm. bright lights. let's pull him over for a chat, just becuase I'm bored.
Hmmm. split second warm up - obvious Xenons
Hmmm. no headlight washers.

equals ticket.

I don't belive that a normal Cop would recognize the difference between the original and HID kits without seeing under the trunc or looking for headlight washers. They can also be very hidden (like they could be on the civic). I mean this only for the Civic, because the lights are the same. They haven't got bulbs for Xenons like BMW or Mercedes has.
Does anybody have a picture of the Headlight washers for the Original Xenon Lights?
I think that HIDs are easy recognized only in old cars, where you already know that this car originaly hasn't come with Xenons.

Cop will know that the car has HIDs from the colour of the light.

Switched on (bored) Cop will spot the lack of washers quite easily...

Xenons (apparently) suffer quite badly from light scatter if the lenses aren't clean.
And due to the brightness of them, could then easily blind oncoming drivers.

Same applies to the self leveling system.
Whereas in a non Xenon car, if you put 5 bags of cement in the boot and forget to twiddle the knob, it will be a pain, with Xenons it would be a real pain.
So they have to have an automatic system so you can't forget to do it.

Especially on Civics....

Seriously though you can tell a mile off. Vauxhall Novas didn't come with Xenons as standard!

I know you can blend upcoming trafic with aftermarket xenons, but if you position them goot (so that they shine on the road and not in the air, it must be ok). If I had to transport heavy weight in the trunc, I can also manually turn the lights upwards.
I also don't know how the Civic with original Xenons positions his xenon lights during driving (automatically) since it hasn't got lensens, like mercesdes or BMW for examble. Does it have a system how only the Xenonbulbs move up and down?
