I think its when you replace the front indicator bulbs with clear ones that flash orange (as opposed to orange ones)...

I hope it is, otherwise my vote is useless!!

'Cos I'd have voted 'Yes' thinking it was that but it may have been having the Tango man sticker on my rear screen or something! (not that I'd want to keep that either!)

When you get rid of any orange in the front or rear indicators.

It usually means changing the indicator lens for a clear one and fitting indicator bulbs that look silver, but flash orange.

On the Civic, the front indicators already have the silver bulbs. The rear indicators on the Type S and the 5 door has an orange lens, but the Type R has a clear lens.

I think de-tangoing makes the car look less messy because a bright colour that catches the eye has been removed giving the car a more uniformed appearance which gives it a slightly smoother look.

I like the look, TT likes the look and so do others, so there must be something in it.

I prefer to customise the interior of the car as that's the area I get to see every day.

I'm happy to leave it alone.

When I had the IS200 I did chuckle when I saw the fleet of Vauxhalls with the customised/copied Lexus style rear light clusters.

The Lexus style lights are just chav.
I would like to think that this mod is slightly more subtle

Messy isn't probably the right word, but I don't think much is going to pursued you to do this mod

Right, gets calculator out, that is 12 Civic's with de-tangoed lights and tens, maybe hundreds of thousands without them. I think we are in a minority here

Foggy - I'm going (and I kinda hope you might be with me on this ), that being in the minority isn't always bad

For example, there is a very small minority of women who look as fit as Kylie - but that doesn't stop her being the pin up for many young (and older ) blokes

I prefer detangoed not only for looks, but as a matter of functionality as well.. When the sunshine is coming from the rear of the vehicle, it becomes hard to distinguish between a lit and unlit orange lens. However, when the lenses are clear (colourless) an orange-lit bulb makes better contrast and thus be seen easier.
