Evening all

My interior lights dont seem to come on at night time, I think its after 9 o'clock but not sure, does anybody know if its a fault or if you can change the setting?
Thanks in advance

Jim

The interior lights dont come on with a timer if thats what you mean? If the dash is dim then you can adjust it or if none of the interior light work then maybe a fuse.

I wonder if there was a timer because they come on in the day but when its dark they dont come on
Its only the lights in the roof
I've checked all the fuses and they all work!

The interior lights should only come on when you open a door, day or night, it could be the door switch is faulty - does it do this with all doors?

Or if you take the key out of the ignition before you open the door, so doesn't have to be the door switch. And besides, interior light works with all 4 doors, so no chance all are faulty

It's odd though because at night if they haven't come on automatically they won't turn on by button either :-S

If moving or pressing the button doesn't turn on the lights despite the fuses working then the bulbs might be out

So the interior lights do not work when the exterior light are on - you have a short somewhere.

No but they work during the day even with the headlights on, this is why I think theirs a timer on them because they only dont work between 9 and 12 at night?

cheers tony, i think it might be because i have one of the early civics and it might be a software default, the cars going in next month to have the air con soted so i will mention it and see what they say but i can just see them saying "its because you have blue bulbs" but i know thats not the issue :S
