Pull down on the white diffuser of the GB light and it should un clip bringing the bulb assembly and loom with it.

Could the boot light wiring fallen down behind the trim, I doubt it's missing all together - mind you it is odd the GB light does not work either .

I had the same problem with my boot light. I could actually feel the cable, but couldn't extract it from behind the trim so got my dealer to do it when I next took it in.

GB is wired but dont know why it doesnt work.
Checked in the boot again. No wires to be seen. I cant get my fingers in very far. Looks like the trim needs to come off. A trip to the dealer me thinks

Hey Robbo,

I had exactly the same problem in my Type-S. The boot light was fitted... but not connected! So i phoned up the dealer and told them to fix it, they took it for a day and fixed the boot light and did 2 re-calls at the same time.

See this:
Boot interior trim hanging off

Why is this common??
Are Honda technicians poor?
Is it the fault of the dealers?
Is it not in the instructions for fitting the sensors?
Is it our fault for using that dealer?
Is it our fault for buying a Honda?

When the Service manager admitted that the wire was missed when fitting the sensors and that the split trim was more than likely done by the fitter, he still offered no apology!!

Perhaps a silly question but have you switched on the lights? My GB light only works when the lights are on.

Edit: Glove box NOT Boot light. OK?
The bulb was faulty.

Hi, have my car since 26th of october and also 'missed' the boot licht. Until i read about it in this forum. Took al look and there it was. Took it out and found the loom. Connected it and there was light! The car is from february this year (model 2006) and the first owner probably didn't mis it.

most dealers disconnect the boot light on showroom models
to stop the battery going flat when tailgate is up or not closed
properly. place the lamp holder back in its location hole, and then forget to
connectit up again when the vehicle is sold, happens on most makes of car.
