Lights FAQ and [HOW TO] Replace headlight bulbs & front position light Not sure if you get the 501s free? Fogs can be changed. But it is a lot of work. And you hardly use them much. Have a look at: Whiter Foglight bulbs? Last edited by FWH; 18th November 2007 at 20:16. |

Bulbs came today and I have just fitted them. They have much improved the lighting, they do have a slightly yellow tinge but are much whiter than the standard ones. Side lights and main beam done too. Very pleased with the results. |

Hi all, just found this site today and am very glad i did! I was thinking the other day that the yellowish side and high beam bulbs look crap against the bright white xenons so the post and pics from bikefreight got me buying:
Osram Night Breaker H1 Headlamp Bulbs and 501 W5W Osram Halogen Cool Blue Sidelight Bulbs Should sort the problem!!! Cheers bf |

Hmmmmmm - like you I have a box of replacement H11's in my hand (well, in the shed) but my first attempt I gave up (ran out of daylight) and I haven't attempted again since.
Appears that to do the job properly (as has been mentioned elsewhere) you need to take shed loads of trim off, including the plastic bumper I guess it was cheaper to have rear access lamps rather than screw on front covers....bearing in mind all the smashed fogs on here, screw on front covers would seem a good idea in retrospect. I will post again if I am successful - likewise, if you pip me to the post, maybe you could post your success ? |

I doubt it - I'm an absolute, self-confessed novice and would be slow to attempt such invasive surgery!!! I'd need step-by-step guidance accompanied by pictures, haha!! If you do succeed, an update would be appreciated! Cheers. |

Hi All
Sorry if my question is being repeated, but I am new here so still navigating myself around Personally, I dispise the yellow head lights. I prefer the more bluey and whiter lights (as on the BMW X5's). I've noticed that the Osram Night Breakers are more white than blue, but has anyone heard, tried or installed any white/blue head lights? Ps, (not sure if i should start a new thread for this or not :S), but has anyone heard of getting angel eyes on civic's? I had them on my Peugeot 206 and were the best mod I'd ever done. Thanks Jase |

Haven´t seen any angel eyes for the Civic (yet). I have HIDs on dipped beam but have upgraded to Osram Nightbreakers on main beam and 501 LEDs from Autobulbs on the side lights. Nightbreakers: Osram Nightbreakers review Osram Nightbreaker bulbs fitted Sidelights: Replacement sidelights http://www.civinfo.com/forum/lights/...n-t-match.html https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/pr...cat=612&page=1 There are also some that have fitted aftermarket HID kits, although there is of course the question if this is totally legal in all countries. http://www.civinfo.com/forum/lights/...-hid-kits.html Also, note that on some cars (2006 cars I believe) there is an error in the manual regarding bulbtypes: Bulb Types - Civinfo Wiki Here is a list of aftermarket bulbs, we have a discount at Autobulbs: 10% off at AutobulbsDirect - and list of common items for the Civic Here is a how-to on replacing bulbs: [HOW TO] Replace headlight bulbs & front position light Hope this helps. |
