I have the night guide double H4 life installed on Renault Twingo. My opinion: If you drive the most on days it's a good light.

Best legal lights for now are:
1st place: Philips Xtreme Power(10%more light than nightbreaker, but more yellow)
2nd place: Osram Nightbreaker(10%less light, but more white)

How did you work out the placing and performance figures for the 2 types

Somebody made a test in a forum and placed photos for evidence, so you can be sure it's true

I'm considering upgrading to Nightbreakers too but read on another thread that they were disappointing (and yellow). Don't mean to be a drag, but any chance of a photo or two? Would appreciate it.

Cheers.

I have the Philips X-treme Power bulbs. They are definitely brighter than the standard ones, but they do not improve the length of the beam which is the biggest problem with the Civic headlights. The Philips Night Guide bulbs seem interesting because they promise up to 50 feet longer beam than conventional bulbs. Anyone tried fitting them in Civic?

I now have the Osram Nightbreaker +90 H1 for long beams. They are even better than the Phillips. They make a really long beam.

Well, I don't find the long beam to be a problem even with the standard bulbs. It's the short beam that is too short.

Adjust them slightly higher (set too low anyway) and problem solved.
Just one turn on each side will do it

I know the main lights have a way too short beam. I even have a HID kit, but this doesn't make the main lights longer.
