Hello Deemon,
Sorry - only just picked up on your post. I think I know which adjusters you mean. Do you know what the rubber knobs are for? I'm sure they made some difference but not enough!

Miggins,

Did the adjusters work? I need to do mine before I drive into a tree, or worse, 2 trees.

Homer, Homer Simpson, he's about to hit a chesnut tree. . . . argghh!!!

They did but there was very little improvement as the lights were so close to the max height already. Still not sure what purpose the rubber knobs serve - poss just a fine adjustment.

Need to have a look at the keyed adjusters. I haven't needed to tweek these on other vehicles . . . mmmm!!!!!

The true adjusters?

OK just examined the adjusters mentioned by Deemon (thanks Deemon )

It appears the main and dip beams can be adjusted independantly using a 6mm hex key.

I will try this tonight and report later with results/pictures (After resetting the rubber headed screws back to what they were).
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++
UPDATE:
Adjusted the white hex head that sits directly behind the dipped beam and up the beam came. One full turn clockwise with a 6mm hex key and the beam went from useless to approx what I believe is safe and legal (mmm!)

I didn't go to flat and level ground to adjust as I was only incresing the height (lateral setting is ok) and wound each side up the same measured amount (easy to put back if wrong). Photos dont show anything as its hard to see a difference when the wall/garage is only 6ft away!

After winding the adjuster in half a turn clockwise and a test drive, I realised another half turn was required - now dipped beam is lighting up the rear bumper of other vehicles from abot 30ft ~ 10m away. I believe the static setting is now correct but 'enthusiastic' accelerating results in possible dazzling of oncoming drivers. Need to assess this on a longer drive.

Picture of the adjuster later when my other half gives ME, MY car back - she seems to like it!!

I'm a lot happier and safer!

Just done mine 3/4 turn clockwise, don't want to dazzle people with my constant enthusiastic acceleration!

Pic as requested - unfortunately by battery died and with no flash the camera would focus!

The vertical adjuster sits directly behind the outer/dip lamp. Circular/white with a 6mm hex head. The other adjuster (probably for lateral adjustment) sits behind the main beam. Both are facing upwards.

Better pic tomorrow in the warm sunshine (mmm!)

On my car there is very clear labeling of these on the black plastic which covers the lights etc under the bonnet. The inner ones are marked L-R and outer ones Up-Down.
