is this a boys and their toys day, or are people bringing their partners. i might be able to persaude my other half to come out and play, i don't know if she does go karting, but i can always find out. am happy either way.

Hi all, i am back now from skiing, the flight back was eventful! Struck by lighting twice!

More than welcome to bring partners alone too. Can watch or race. I will ask if mine wants to join in if we are going that way?.

Now for dates, lets see how manny people we can get this week to join in. Please speak to others on the forum, or even post the link to get them onto here.

At the end of the week i will start sorting out the event type and dates and a quote on the price and so on . . .

Ok so the new list is below, if you are going to bring friends/partners then just add them next to yourself so we can get exact numbers please. I am going to make a phone call now to see what is best for us to do.

If we have enough people we can have a private event but if not it will become "open" and means other people can join in.

Just to let you know, i have spoke to my old work chum there and he will send me a email later on today with the options we can get. As it is a weekend thing we will need quite a few people, If anyone is on another civiv forum please send them this way/you are all welcome to bring friends/girlfriends along too.

Hope we can get sa car park full of civics and we could possibly try and make this a regular event and have a championship lol (now that being really, really optimistic)

A championship sounds a great idea, but most of you have Type R's, so you can practice. I hope there is a wooden spoon prize

LOL! well i can set this all up quite easily! Even a wodden spoon prize! But i can make it something a little more unique i feel!

You never know, if pottsy reads this thread he may even want to join in the fun and promote it on the fourm?

I thought the Type R was just a bit bigger, and has doors, windows, roof and a heater. Apart from that, they both go like stink, and have no suspension to talk of

Just to let you know that the karts we will be using will be twin engine prokarts (i.e 2 engines on them)

Here is a breif description of the event types that we can do, numbers depending

ENDURANCE RACING EVENTS
• Pre-booking essential
• Individual or Team entries
• Full driver briefing & practice
• Racing from half hour to 4+ hour duration
• Fully computerised scoring
• Lap time print-outs for every team
• Trophy award ceremony and bubbly shower!

During a endro event type, driver change overs will take place in the pit lane if in a team!

GRAND PRIX RACING EVENTS
• Pre-booking essential
• Full kart & safety briefing for all drivers
• Practice & Qualifying heats
• Grand Final for top 12 drivers
• Fully computerised scoring
• Lap-time print-outs for all drivers
• Trophy award ceremony and bubbly shower!

or we can just turn up and do Arrive and drive.

Prices are to follow and we will sort a date that suits most people
