Likewise, I'm in for the lunch/pub meet, but can stay later (although as mentioned before can't be karting)!

Looks like there are gonna be an awful lot of NHB Type R's coming - anyone going to be bringing something else for a bit of variety?!

My girlfriend will be there also. can all please confirm if they are just comming to the pub or race or both?

The original plan was to meet then race but things have changed so we can get a happy medium. Meet at the pub for 1pm? if racing the race does not start to 6pm as it is the open event we are doing and need to be at the track for 5pm

Good stuff, I should be there around 3pm I reckon as I've got to head over to SW London in the morning (I assume you'll all still be at the pub!) I won't be karting, but I'll head along to the track to watch/have a chat with others. See you all Sunday!

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing you all later (although my GF won't be coming due to a broken foot), I'll hopefully get one of my mates along.

Was gonna wash the car, but the weather is horrible, so apologies in advance for my filthy machine!

Hello all! What an unmitigated disaster today turned out to be for me!

For a start, got really held up at my previous appointment, but that's not the worst bit. I did actually drive right over to Clockhouse Lane/Grays (got there about 16:45) - late I know. But of course due to my panic earlier in the day I didn't bring either the directions to the race track, the name of the pub we were meant to meet at (was it the one at the top of Clockhouse Lane?) or Dean's phone number to call him! The pub I did arrive at had no Civic's in the car park, so I foolishly attempted to find the race track by randomly driving around Essex, which I don't really know at all. After half an hour, ended up in Lakeside and decided to call it a day and head back across the river!

Well, that's my story! How did it all go? Everyone else manage to meet/kart?

the track was at lakeside on the roundabout with the huge sign! what a shame.

You the pub is a 1min drive from the rack and the track is at lakeside

Ah cr@p! I just didn't know where to go to! TBH, it was pretty foolish of me to leave without the race track directions and your telephone number - will be more careful next time!

What a real shame, it took me a good 30 mins to get there and the same home. Still, at least it was a good drive in the car. Except for that bit on the M25 where it's all 50mph average speed check, which is extremely tedious!

Hope the karting was good fun, though. Let us know if you fancy a pub meet at any point, I can def get my Prelude mate to come along too!

Unhappy Non appearance

I owe you both an apology as well for my no show.
I had no way of contacting you at the last minute as no phone.
The fact I would not have been able to get there until much later is no excuse, and I am sorry.
Suitably self admonished.
