Lightbulb Civinfo 2007 Spring Meet!

As we have lots of 07’ers getting there nice new Civics in March and will be gagging to show them off, I take this opportunity to propose a ‘Spring Meet’

My suggestion is 28th April in Marlborough. Lots of Parking lots of Shopping lots of Pubs very Pretty great photo opportunities (if anyone remembers a camera) and if people want to make a full day of it lots to see.

Just a thought… I am prepared to be shot down

a tad far for me.. 200 miles & 3hours of motorway driving (each way) in a brand new CTR GT... would the sat nav find the place? Would the fog lights be intact when I got there? - answers on a postcard...

Lots of parking but normally quite busy as I recall, it was a few years ago when I was last there.
Is there a quiet car park close by for a meet?

Maldax -

I think it's a nice idea. It's a pity that Marlborough is so far from our northern and Scottish friends but it's sensibly central to the southern half of England and therefore easily in reach of a large body of the forum membership. I can also think of far, far worse places for more distant members to spend a night and drive back the following day. There are plenty of good quality hotels to be had.

None of this of course is influenced by the fact that Marlborough is 18 miles from my driveway...

Is Marlborough near swindon ? could have a look at the factory ?

For me it will be a 600 miles trip, about 11 hours to drive. I'll see with Madame if we can arrnge a long Week End in the UK.

Yes, l-noel. Marlborough is about 13 miles south of Swindon and 10 miles south of junction 15 of the M4. And what a great suggestion - a factory tour. Would provide a strong focus for the day. Maldax - your idea is beginning to snowball!
