Sad that I've missed what looks like a few good meets this weekend so looking at available dates and next weekend looks promising.

Soooo.... anyone interested feel free to post suggestions below! Even if you can't make a meet but know of a really good drive feel free to share that, as I'll have nothing else to do!
Hi matey I may also be up for this if I can get the time of work.

Can you please confirm the times, date, and who actually going. This should be a good little meet. " plus a couple of people's first time too" like myself

Once we define a meeting location and time, I think we sort out where to drive from.

Have we come to a conclusion yet?

Agreed!! Everyone loves puppies!

Am back in Stafford now after being awake for the best part of two days. Can't believe there is sun here after what I've been living in at Salisbury...

Anyway, I'm sure I 'd like to finalise this meet, as there is more than enough interest to have a good drive and a great afternoon.

I propose we meet in Newport - a supermarket car park - at 1330 tomorrow. I don't know which one yet because I haven't been, but I will do later once I've showered and had a nap.

Then I propose we all drive the back road to Eccleshall and possibly back again to a good pub where we can either have a bit to eat or just a drink whilst we chew the fat.

If those coming from the same direction want to meet and travel together then that would be good as well, but you'd need to organise that yourself. Looking through the thread now I'll copy and paste names who I hope to see tomorrow afternoon - if you can't attend then just post. So here goes...

1. J_H
2. Smudge
3. llyody_1_1_1
4. HenryTheHonda
5. ukzio (depends on time off work...)
6. phil99 (bring the puppy!)

Anyone else? Do I need to change anything? I'll post where I suggest we meet once I've been there myself.

The Civic's back, but I've now got a family crisis that may prevent me meeting up tomorrow . I won't be able to confirm until tomorrow morning, sorry .

Ah man, that sucks. Glad your car is back, and hopefully the crisis will turn out ok.

Let us know if you can/cannot attend

Thanks mate, I'll let everyone know as soon as I can. I was really chuffed that the car was sorted in time, then things took a turn for the worse . Hopefully I can still make Donington the following weekend .

Sorry to hear that, I hope all is OK. So currently the list is:

1. J_H
3. llyody_1_1_1
4. HenryTheHonda
2. Smudge (tbc tomorrow morning)
5. ukzio (depends on time off work...)
6. phil99 (bring the puppy!)

I went to Newport today and didn't really find anywhere obvious to park and meet up other than the Waitrose car park, just off Audley Rd. Unless anyone can think of anywhere better shall we go for the far corner of this car park?

The drive itself was good, some 30 and 40 zones through hamlets and a mixture of narrow corners and long wide sweeping roads with some nice views overall. Once we reach Eccleshall and turn around I think this would be a good place to stop for a drink and a chat:

The Swan, Forton is a Country Inn near Newport, Shropshire offering great food & accommodation

Think it was a 10 mile run each way down the A519.

Just to say thanks for a good afternoon and good to see you guys (and girls). Sure enough the red footwell lighting was there lol...

I had a good run back went via the B5405 which was empty so had a good run. Hope you're all back safe and sound and if anyone wants to organise something down your way I'll be sure to make an effort to come.
