Also bothered myself to look in the manual regarding breaking in and it says the following for the first 1,000 Km or 625 miles:

1. Avoid full throttle starts and rapid acceleration.

2. Avoid hard braking for the first 200 miles or 300Km.

3. Do not change the oild until the scheduled maintenance time

4. Do not tow a trailer.

The only one of those I may be stretching is the rapid acceleration, but I've not done any racing standing starts!

I admit, was a good little afternoon drive and only being let down by the trusty TomTom once!!!

Was lovely to meet everyone and see "whos who" instead of a avatar to go by!

I took one, and then in the rush to put the phone in my pocket hit delete and now it has gone. Wasn't a good one anyway!

There weren't any from the South Mimms meet last Sunday! Weather was so bad we really didn't want to be standing outside in the rain.

I didnt take any unforntuantly, the weather didnt play ball with us. It rained the whole duration of the drive, made the roads quite slippery and the TC kick in alot.

Was nice to see 3 black CTR and a very smart looking silver CTS tho!

The meeting was actually ok it was my first time at any type of car forum meet, Yes there was only a few of us but it was actually very chilled out. Again the weather was pretty crap but we did a little run, and had a drink and chilled out getting to know each other.

You three have got great motors sooooo jealous. I have not got a type R, but also very pleased that I had a little sumit different on the road to break up all the dull black....

I have two pics that are not the best as they were taken on my mobile.

All in all it was nice to get to meet some decent people, and will make it easier for next time.

Glad you enjoyed it! Dull black - how dare you!!! Cheers for putting those pics up wish I hadn't deleted mine as my phone camera is reasonable enough, oh well just an excuse to do it again. Wish the weather had been better though but can't control that.

Seriously don't test drive the CTR or you'll end up getting one, but you should be happy with yours it does look smart.

This being only my second meet (in a week) I enjoyed it as well, and love how friendly (and normal) everyone is. As I said before if you want to organise one further down your way just before Xmas I'll let you know if I can attend.

hi all thanks for a good afternoon it was nice to put faces to the avatars at last, we will have to did it again sometime soon, maybe this time a longer drive, or if any of you find yourself bored and have a couple hours to kill and just fancy a blast ill be there for that to, pm me if you require my mob number to arrange this
