We are the other side of Harrow to you (towards Heathrow).

Borehamwood is quite a distance from us.

Sounds like TC & I will end up in Tesco's coffee shop

Yeah, I know where you are - Greenford, Hayes etc etc.

Sorry, I wasn't looking at it from the closest point to your house perspective !! I'm looking at it from the best venue point of view. Fine, we have established that you don't want to travel more than a couple of miles. Can't we do better than Tesco's.
Don't like the idea of Brent Cross, but the Ace Cafe isn't bad.

If we want something central then perhaps somewhere near the A40 say between Target roundabout and Greenford. Alternatively, off the A312 near Hayes. I don't know anywhere around there, but I guess you guys do.

Anyway, you decide.

If a few more people are going to come along then I dont mind going somewhere a bit further out like Ace cafe (wherever that it is lol) and if South Mimms is near Elstree I think I know that too (I don't venture out much) but then I do have the tom tom!!

If it just going to be a few of us, then we may as well meet closer to home, I dont mind.

Why do I have to make the decision - I hate making decisions I cant even decide whether to have cereal or toast for breakfast lol

Let me get my thinking cap on and come up with some suggestions

If TC or anyone wants to go down the same route (sorry, pun not intended!) as sarajo and Maldax (sticky thread with yes / no posts only), just shout

Hi West London Civic owners

How about the Ballot Box Pub at the top of Horsenden Hill. There is a car park there and we could have a drink or two. There is another car park opposite, near the Bowling Club. Or even better, the newly opened Horsenden Farm. There is a very large car park there and its right beside the Grand Union Canal. A nice spot, well in the summer that is. Just a few suggestions.

I thought of the very same place earlier but I wasn't aware there is a new farm area there. Isn't the Ballot Box at the bottom of the Hill not that im being vicious or anything

Hi Topcat

Horsenden Farm was opened two years ago. Its a the bottom of Horsenden Hill near the canal bridge. Do you know where Magnet used to be? or Perivale community centre. Its just a large parking area that would cope with alot of civic's. I take the kids there in the Summer as there is a new playground. There is still more work to do there buts its o.k.

That sounds closer

I can test the Civic's satnav (with my TomTom as a backup).

Ok, so far we have had the suggestion of the following;

South Mimms area
Ace cafe area (?)
Horsenden Hill - Greenford
I thought maybe Windsor/Slough area if anyone is coming along from the M4 side

If anyone is coming along from further out it will need to be somewhere easy to find (unless of course you have sat nav)

Hi Everyone

Topcat could you add 2 O'clock to your list of possible times. I'm at church until 12.30 on a Sunday. There's a nice spot in Stanmore called Bently Priory. There's also Stanmore common. I just had a thought Aldenham Country Park has a large car park and is very scenic but is further north at Elstree.
