Europe meet in croatia

Hi,
Here in Croatia my club will organize 2 international honda fans meet 09.06.2007 in Velika Gorica near main town Zagreb and it will be great (tuning show....test drives....presentations.....and more

).......and after the meet it starts the after party till morning.......i hope the people near or far from croatia will come.......if anybody has questions or is interested in comeing can contact me on pm......

hope to see some of new hondas in my country........

Here is update of Honda show in Croatia: I would be pleased if someone from this forum could come to show.

I`am here to invite you all to 2nd International Honda Fan Show in Zagreb in June this year.

This event is going to be huge, all day program is already prepared, lots of tuned, stylish Hondas will be there, girls, alcohol, food and great fun guaranteed smile.gif

So far our friends and Honda fans from Slovenia, Serbia, and Switzerland are comming.

Show begins on 09th June 2007 at 11am, its an all day program, and from previous experience most interesting will be in evening and late night hours... smile.gif

You are all invited, there are all kind of accomodation options, and I`ll be trully delighted if some of you come to Zagreb this year.

I would like to mention also, on 11th June 2007, track day at Grobnik, Rijeka will take place, our friends from Switzerland Honda Club "Hondaholics" are organizing it, you are also invited, 4hours are cca 60euro, and for all day drive 260euro

So it will be one great ( extended ) weekend in Croatia. smile.gif

general info about show

Well if you decided to come to our meeting in Croatia, here is few things youneed to know about us, our laws, prices...

Program of the official Honda meeting starts at 11am on 09.june and ends at early morning hours next day...

You will be informed of weather in Zagreb few days before meeting so that you can make a decision, if you wish to go to Zagreb smile.gif

Like I already said the whole thing starts at 11am, and now a few details about program:

The croatian Honda Fan club will have a short introduction, there will also be afew words from our sponsors.

There will also maybe be a presentation of new Civic TypeR. we still don`t know will it be on sale in Croatia at that time, but all other models of Honda range will be there,

and one very special Honda from America, Honda Ridgeline.

The DJ plays whole day long... smile.gif drinking and eating ( at very popular prices ) also avalaible whole day.

A lot of games for visitors with attractive awards ( sponsors are sony, valvoline, etc, etc )

Two PlayStation 3 consoles will also be there with playseats so there will be a little tournament organized

burn out, styling and tuning show...

probably I forgot something, but the meeting is taking place whole day and there is really a lots of things that are going to happend, this is just a part of whole day events that are going to took place.

These are few things about program of meeting. if you are interested in more info please let me know.

Some general info:

We can arange your accomodation at Zagreb Hotel ( pretty close to center of Zagreb ) it has only 2 stars and the price for rooms is 25euro/per person. I think it`s a cheap, and tidy place to stay for one ( or two ) nights.

About drinks and food... Well it depends on what and where will you eat... Few examples: Cola costs 1 euro, pizza 4 euro, beer ( depends on what you drink ) 0.50 - 2.5 euro, and

the menu`s at mcdonalds costs about 4 euro. The prices may vary but these are general figures.

prices of gas: gasoline with 95 octane costs 1.10 euros/liter and the diesel ( who needs diesel? smile.gif ) is 1.02euros/liter......100 octane on OMV costs 1.17-1.20 euros/liter. If you are going to pour a gas in croatia I recommend that you do it on these gas stations: OMV, TIFON, MOL eventualy INA. stay away from small private gas stations they usually sell gas of miserable quality.

There is also a great grid of highways in Croatia, they are relatively new and built in last few years. They are not free and they have their payment systems.

You have an option to go to regional roads which are mostly in good conditions, and If you try a little harder you can travel free of charge through Croatia. For those who like fast travelling here are the prices: the prices are for first category vehicles ( bikes, cars )

if you are travelling from Hungary you need to go to border at Gorican, there is begining of highway that will take you straight to Zagreb... so for the relation from Gorican toZagreb you`ll have to pay 5 euro.

if you are coming from Slovenia, you may go to Bregana: price for travelling from Bregana to Zagreb is 1 euro. or you can go to Macelj. Price for Macelj- Zagreb is 1.5 euro

if you are coming from Italy and entering Croatia at "Rupa" from Rupa to Rijeka you will have to pay 1 euro and from Rijeka to Zagreb 8 euro.

Also when entering Croatia remember to turn on short lights on your car!! Lights must be on during day ( and night smile.gif )

If you are going to drive through our highways watch out for interceptors!!! Speed limit is 130km/h but they will tolerate speed up to 160km/h ( rumors from caught ones ).

Anyway beware.

Be on watch for: BMW 330d,Honda Accord, Skoda Superb, Ford Mondeo and vw passat. these cars are croatian interceptors. License plates from these cars are also avalaible, so if

you are interested...

Police is also zero tolerating alcohol!! You can`t drink and drive in croatia because permited concetration of alcohol is 0.0 o/oo Of course you can always risk...

I`ll need to know exact number of cars that are coming to zagreb, and we can organize some cars to meet you somewhere out of zagreb if you want. It will probably be a best and most painless way for you to find us in Zagreb.
