Frappr's a good idea - An astronomy forum I belong to uses it and it's quite informative and entertaining - Oh, Sh*t! - I've admitted to being interested in astronomy - am I doomed to being labelled an Anorak now??

Any ideas on when?
Or will it be a Sat shopping supermarket car park meet?
Just with winter closing in quick, an outside gathering may get dampened a little. Unless there's a freindly pub car park available??

And therein lies the rub

Ok there are 12 of us who could potentially do a meet in Oxford.

Given that some of us have a 100 miles or so to get there, I'm guessing that an evening meet might not be so good LOL

So it's time to pick a date...

I will put my thinking cap on, see if I can think of a nice pub in the country somewhere around Oxford.

Not sure if I'm too late but just voted for Oxford. Not sure if I'll be able to make it - depends on date and time.

Someone suggested Swindon. Honda might be up for a hosting exercise considering the publicity they could get. Depends if you want your picky plasterd over the next Honda mag.

Are we having a meet this year ?, or are we waiting until next Spring when the daylight improves.

For anyone travelling distance, it would be better to meet mid-day.

Richie, I agree, but the weeks are slipping by. It'll be Christmas before we know where we are.

IF its Oxford, could it be near the motorway ?.

I've been racking my brain (and the Wifes) to try an think if somewhere nice where a few of us could get together where there is room. So far all I have come up with are the services at JCt10 of M40, and only cos it has a large car park. There is a nice pub at Wolvercote, but thats down the A34 from the M40 (about 7 miles south of jct 9), there is a couple of pubs in the village and a free car park situated between them, even has loos!!

I was gonna post a link to Multimap, but its about 3 pages long, and couldn't find where someone epxlained how to hide the URL's, I did look, but as we are not known for staying on topic it could be anywhere. If you zoom in on Multimap having searched for Wolvercote you will see a refernce to the Trout Inn and a Picnic Site, its there.
