Hi Richie

Thanks for being flexible on the next meet. I'm not able to meet up this side of xmas either, I think Sonic was looking at next year. Sonic I don't mind organising the next meet if the consensus is Denham Village.

I think we are all flexible C.F. - Denham is fine by me. Obviously it will need to be in the new year now, I think that is a given.

Anthony.

Hi All

The Swan Pub is the Venue I am proposing for the next meet. It's a quite quaint pub in the picturesque village of Denham. The only problem might be accomodating all the cars, so I'll would have to work on that one. Anyway here are the pics:

I feel quite bad that you are prepared to change the venue so that I can attend, thank you

That pub is great but will we not need a car park ?

Hi Topcat

I'm going to try getting the use of the village hall carpark, it's worth a go. If not there is another pub near Denham Green which has its own car park which is quite big.

Doesn't Cilla Black live in Denham? Perhaps she would let us park in her drive.

Yep Cilla has a property out there, not in the villiage though, I think she's up the hill towards the private aerodrome.

John Mills used to live there and I think Roger Moore once had a property.

Probably a few others as well as it's extremely convenient for Pinewood studios.

Well, that's the parking problem solved then!

Hi All

I've been to see some of Buckinghamshire County Council chaps at the village hall. They seem to think that as long as there is not another function at the hall eg wedding etc it will be o.k. I just have to speak to the custodian of the hall to make sure the gate will be open. So how about dates Guys and Gals. Shall we say either Sunday 20.01.08 or 27.01.08 and meet at Village Hall at 12.00am.

Sounds good to me. Denham is fine with me too, also I did say in the New Year. Charley Farley feel free to take up the mantle of organiser.

It'd worth the extra mileage to see TC

Awww thanks Sonic

My b/f said wouldn't it be funny if someone said "why would I want to drive extra miles to see a moany cow who always complains about her civic and drives a jazz anyway"

Talking of the stars above I have Cilla Black's, Sir John Mills and Roger Moors' autographs !!!

Hi All

An update on the next meet. Contacted the clerk at the village hall. It would seem that there is a charge for using the car park. But there is an alternative. There is a place called the Colne Valley Park Centre which is a short walk away from the village centre. You can park here for free. I'll pop into the centre this week to check out the size. But in the meantime a think about the suggested dates.

I actually can not make either if the dates you have proposed CF, Sundays are always a bit difficult.

I dont expect people to change venues and dates just for me though so I think you should plan whatever suits everyone else and if I can come along I will.

Hi Topcat

I picked Sundays because that seemed to be the favoured day of our previous meets. Lets see what responses we get from the others. Maybe I should add February 4 2008. In fact lets make 4.02.08 another possible date. So we now have:

20.01.08

27.01.08

04.02.08

I have jotted down 3.2.08 in the old 'lectronic diary. I know it might be subject to change, but it's a start.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the replies. I had a look at the car park at the Colne Valley Park Centre, and it should swallow up the cars easily (unless we get a real surge of Civics) but we will cross that bridge if it happens. The of end of Jan/beg Feb shouldn't see a huge influx of walkers in the Colne Valley (hopefully). And yes, I did mean Sunday 3rd February 2008.

Popped in my calendar as well.

February - Country car park.

Presumably no need to book an outside table then ?

Plus, we will likely all have the white cars that some have been pleading for?
