Murray's FN2 Project
So like a few others I post pictures up on the site as soon as I get them attached to the car but I want all the pictures together so thought I would quickly throw a build thread together.
I picked the car up around 8 months ago. The only add ons were the Basswork speaker upgrades, iPod connection, Windon tints and Footwell lights. ![]() ![]() I was 100% happy with the car and was going to leave it as I brought it, well that was the plan. I noticed a couple of CTR's with a different front splitter so I needed that... ![]() Soon after I heard of some products made by Mugen. I had also been told about TDI North and noticed their name pop up quite a lot. So my next purchase turned into purchases, thats where my Mugen airbox with Scoop kit, and Mugen grill came from. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After I had ordered my Mugen goodness I noticed a few people talking about the Milltek exhaust so called ABP to order the catback, before the end of the call I had also ordered the powerslot big front disks. ![]() This kept me happy for a few weeks. The sound of the Milltek still puts a big smile on my face. While out and about with Rebel Motorsport Club I noticed (after hard-ish run) my brakes were better but still struggling after an hour or so.... so the next purchase were some braided hoses and 5.1 fluid. ![]() After buying a little bit of Mugen, I was hooked so brought just a little more..... I really liked the Mugen lower rear skirt ![]() ![]() I was undecided on the Mugen rear wing, one day I would really want it the next day I would think it was a little too big. So I made the most of the day when I really liked it and made the order. ![]() ![]() After having all my Mugen bits put on my neighbor decided to reverse into the side her ![]() Making the most of the car being in the bodyshop getting a nice new door I had the OEM wheels repaired and painted. ![]() And a close up of the wheels after painting. ![]() ![]() The car is also booked into ABP on monday for the Eibachs (lowered by 30mm) and for the FRSU. Here are a couple of pics of my car out and about ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you like.... Last edited by murray; 6th October 2010 at 12:48. |

Im 22 so too many power mods will kill me for insurance. Would really like some FD2 cams, race header etc. Going to be going to the ring next year so would like the car a little faster. I think while I am up at ABP I will see what they have got in or can get in and go from there. So if they read this and stock up on bits and bobs my wallet wont like it but my car will

So heres another update. I went to ABP to get FRSU and the Eibach springs but ended up leaving with some stop-tech brakes as well........
So heres some pics of the new mods, I also brought some HEKO wind deflectors from Civinfo the other day and they turned up today ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So now the car is sat 30mm lower and holds the road much better. A massive thanks to ABP was a great visit Last edited by murray; 12th October 2010 at 07:09. Reason: Uploaded pictures which work |

The total bill came to £2200 and something...
The FRSU and springs are a great investment. I think the FRSU and springs were around £560 ish Worth every penny mate. Completely changes the car. |
