Cleaned out my Air Mass Sensor this weekend. Didn`t acutally feel much difference, but the MPG has improved massively!

Managed 49 MPG combined on my last tank of fuel. Just over 1000km i total (!). The meter showed over 1000km in range when I refilled it. Must have been the first time ever I`ve seen that.
And I don`t even run my car on fuel efficient oil or eco friendly tires. Happy happy! |

Today I replaced the drive belt, tensioner and a pulley. Did an oil change as well.
Ordered HKS braided brake lines yesterday. Goodbye spungy brake pedal! |

Did you swap just the springs or did you change the dampers too? I want to lower my Civic, but one of my "car-friends" told me that my dampers can't take it.

No problem at all. Your "friend" is wrong. As long as you buy H&R or Eibach, they don't lower it more than 30mm. And that is no problem for the dampers.
Where in Norway are you located? |

Haha, my "special friend". I'm in Harstad. Driving one of the few Type S-Civics in Norway
By the way: Where did you get the springs from? I really want to lower my car to get rid of the body roll and make it look snazzy. |

I bought my springs and uprated brakes from a local dealer here in Arendal. Autopower AS. They also fiddled with the ECU |

Okay, I've had mine for almost a year now, so it's probably not the same car
How much did the springs cost? I sent Autopower an e-mail asking for prices for both H&R-springs and Eibach, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. |

I think I paid 2000 kroner or something. Can't find the receipt right now. That was for H&R springs.

Okay, that's not too bad. How much of a difference did it make?
Also: did the ECU-remap make a huge difference? Did you have to change the clutch? Last edited by ante; 13th July 2012 at 14:50. |

And then there is the looks The clutch was replaced on warranty on 98.000km together with the DMF. I got the much talked about "325" clutch. And no problems so far. Just passed 150.000km yesterday. With the remap, a buddy of mine in his Intergra R couldn't keep up, so yes |

Sounds good. Are you saying that the comfort improved? The roads here are not good, especially during the winters, so it worries me a bit
I have gotten a 6 paddle clutch and dmf from cg motorsports, so a remap shouldn't be a problem |

Great, I was worried that the comfort would become unbearable. Where did you get the wind deflectors and the Type R-grill? Do you know of any good online Civic parts stores?
