Dropping some weight is a no brainer in an N/A car

I am thinking of shorter 4-5-6 myself for improve acceleration.
Dc5 integra, Mfactory and Gear-X are options.
The spoon Fn2 have that great acceleration against the Fd2 because of this and not from the power only.
Ive got to say after extensive testing at the Nurburgring (on forza Motorsport 4) Nuno is spot on ... changing the gear ratios improves acceleration and drive-ability pretty well!!

6th is pointless as its a cruising gear, keep it long

parts used
1-2 Synchro set 23521-PPS-305 (unchanged)
3-4 Synchro set 23623-PNS-315
5-6 Synchro set 23626-PNS-315 (unchanged)

facelift DC5R
4th Mainshaft gear 23450-PNT-000
4th Countershaft gear 23481-PNT-000
5th Mainshaft gear 23580-PNT-000
5th Countershaft gear 23461-PNT-000

Yeah but to improve acceleration it worked out better to use the DC5 6th ... In reality on a road car you want 3-4-5 pretty short and as you say a long 6th for cruising .. be interesting to see where the DC5's revs sit at 70mph in comparison ..

DC5 6th - 0.78
FN2 6th - 0.738

Sorn'ed the civic for a few months now. Not sure If I'll be able to get the K24 done this winter as the lady in my life wants a ring... goddamnit.

I will however be able to get the following done:

stg 4 clutch
baffled sump
Geo reset

And maybe tryout a new header, as I think this is the last bottle neck of my bolt-ons now.

I'm thinking of trying out a Kidd racing / private label item. I've heard they fit both k20 and k24 blocks in the ep chassis.

Pulled the trigger on a new header, went for the PLM (aka Kidd racing):

It has much longer primaries and slightly longer secondaries than the current piper header.

Of course I'll do a back to back dyno
