Tim!
Think of it as a blessning in disguise.. the car is going to feel even more awesome now once you get it all sorted! I guess you'll be in with me and Mark this weekend for work then ha ha? Can't wait to see what your cars like... I really wanted a go at Ace Cafe... but no were to drive there ay? ![]() What power are you expecting after everything is done? |

This is true, if i got used to and was happy with how the car was when it was only at half the boost... its gonna be brilliant having 10psi back! With the cams in it'll be pretty much exact to the setup dezi had and he was at 330bhp. To be honest though im just happy with any gains, i got the JDM cams on the cheap so just whacking them in and see what happens. But i guess if they help make about 10bhp on average when NA.. that'd be the minimum id hope to get from these on my setup
Yeah Ace Cafe meets are great but not the sort of enviroment to be able to go for a fun drive. Plus is was soaking wet that day. I'll take you out on friday, although im not supposed to hammer it with the way the charger is at the moment. But ive been doing so since i had it, and who knows how long ive been missing the part. So we can still go up and down the dual carriageway a few times and you can at least see what only 5psi on the CT is like, give you a taste of what your going to have to deal with when you've got crazy power under your right foot lol |

Yeah i mean you can pic up the whole bypass valve for 80 bucks, but its literally just a silver bar of metal, a clip and bolt or something so its only small parts that doesnt mean your whole charger is ****ed if something happens to them. Just messes with pressure so obviously its not what you want.
To be fair though as soon as your on hi cam your flying past all the cars you'd expect, its not completely taken away the power. The beauty of the CT is its instant power especially low and mid range so with the slip diff off the line even with 5psi no one stood a chance, but im certaintly looking forward to getting all my horses back |

As already said above it is good nothing major is broken, frustrating all the same. Be like a new Car when you get it back on full BOOST.
Nice pics as well Tim. |

I must admit one of the reasons I hate modding cars is that nothing ever goes smoothy and it sounds like you have similar luck to me but think of how amazing your car will be once the cams are fitted and you get your missing 5 PSI back!

Cheers lads! Yeah cant wait, it topped off a bad week really in which an indicator bulb went and you've got to change it via the wheel arch, then the battery went flat whilst on the M1 services the other day so had to get the AA out and sign up. SIGH! Then again whilst parked at tdi yesterday morning for 2 mins with the engine off and radio on. So new battery as well.. Meh! lol
