Wanted to test the clutch and IC pipes really before I head over to a dyno for a custom tune so I spoke to Celtic and they have just supplied me with a file-only remap after I sent my ECU read to them... so we'll see how that gets on!
Very impressed with the service from Celtic - very quick responses to enquiries and they got the remapped file back to me in just over an hour

Gutted - no stock in the UK for the Rota GRAs I want... minimum wait time 8 weeks
Bit of a shame as that means I'll be attending Japfest2 with the set I've got now that are quite significantly kerbed... |

Minor mod but made life easier for me... installed a switch into my OBD2 Wifi plug so I don't have to keep removing and reattaching it when I need to use it; can just reach down and flick a switch!
First photo shows the wires internally - the brown wire on the bottom right connects to pin 16 and this is the power. As it's from the battery it's a 12V permanent live feed rather than an ignition switched feed. Used a spare switch I had lying about but I think they sell in Maplin for a couple of quid. If you attempt this just be careful with the length of the switch legs, I had to snip mine to ensure they didn't short anything. |

Looks great. I do love the GP pack. Wish I could justify the cost of one for my CTR.

I had to replace the rear splitter anyway as I reversed into a post and damaged the original so thought "why not" Quote:

Update: Finally got around to ordering some Hekos. Absolute doddle to fit, didn't bother with the clips though as they didn't seem to make sense to me and I can't see the deflector coming out any time soon...
![]() ![]() Really pleased with how they look, and hopefully now can open the window without getting water dripping inside |

Further update:
Double DIN! Fitted an AVIC-F940BT yesterday; absolutely cracking little unit. Still getting to grips with it so will post up a full review later. I have to say a MASSIVE thank you to Dwyer9; I gave him a call and he explained exactly how to route the GPS antenna cable so it's above my head and out of sight

Some photos from install, the Impulse loom was essentially plug and play but I didn't know what connectors were on the back of the OEM radio until I had it out!
![]() ![]() ![]() Once I'd figured out what was going where, the old unit came out and I started connecting the Impulse loom. ![]() Wasn't sure what to do with the blue wire until I read that it needed to be connected to the remote power connection, so that was done. ![]() With the loom connected, before installing into the fascia I tested it to ensure full functionality. It was here that I realised I'd not connected the SWRC lead to enable the steering wheel controls so I was glad I tested it! Interestingly the clock decided to advance itself by an hour, so I corrected it. To do so you press and hold the "mode" button on the steering wheel and use the CH+/- and Vol+/- to adjust. ![]() And in the spirit of making things "proper" I removed the dash to enable the wires for microphone and GPS unit to pass behind it. ![]() Once the fasica was back on and the unit installed into it, all was well! ![]() Unit fitted, Brodit mount connected up via the USB input (which required an additional cable but eBay saved me about £20 here), microphone mounted up on the A pillar and the GPS antenna just below the glass roof on the central crossbeam. If anyone needs any advice please shout - it's not hard to do it yourself I assure you! |
