Type-S suspension + fitting cost = ?

Hi, firstly I'd like to know if it's possible to put the sport suspension which you can get on the Type-S, on my Civic 2.2 Sport 2006 model?

If so, then how much would it all cost including fitting?

I find the suspension set up not good at all at the moment, as the car has a lot of body roll even when driving normally.

Cheers

Honda parts are not cheap, and won't necessarily give you the handling \ ride that you are looking for ...

Have you looked at the after-market suspension kit available ? ...

Here a couple of posts that relate to what I had fitted ...

Kw coilovers/prices

Too expensive for very little gain..IMO
Better to get it lowered with new springs or as JDR has..Coilovers

I'll "second" the review by [ Morris Minor ] ...

For me, cornering rapidly and manoeuvring while braking are so much improved ...

Plus, the 'tram-lining' has virtually gone, and the overall stability (with associated peace of mind) that you get when "maxing-out" on decent and lightly trafficked European motorways is just tremendous ...

p.s. - [ robbo51 ] - I didn't actually have 'coilovers' fitted, the shocks and springs were specified separately and come from different manufacturers ...

Thanks for all your advice, it does sound a bit expensive, but I'm sure it will be worth having done.

At the moment the car doesn't feel safe to drive when flooring it around the corners, it keeps on rolling side to side heavily and overtaking at high speeds on the motorway feels dangerous, compared to my previous VW Polo Sport (standard sport suspension) which could comfortably change lane at *** mph.

You could of course just have the Konis fitted and the FRS done, which should give the "best bang for your bucks" ...

The lowering springs and wheel spacers were - for me - the 'icing on the cake' - but, it does all work very well together (and looks better) ...

To be honest, I can only back up what others have said. To get the stock suspension from a type s and have it fitted to a 5 door would incur quite heavy costs. Not only have you got the parts side of it but also the labour involved and overall time to do it. Imho, you'd be better with the aftermarket changes as detailed above.
