After plenty of people asking me to do this (so i expect good results

)

North West England Meet

DAY/DATE:
Saturday 4th September? (open to suggestions though)

LOCATION:
Dukes 92 pub
-18 Castle Street
-Manchester
-M3 4LZ
They do food and theres a free car park out back, we can think of a route for an "after-drive" if you all want ?!

ROUTE:

Meet up in Knutsford town centre. Then route through Ashley to the M56. Good country road but not very long. Onto the M56 then back on our selfs to J9.

From there go country roads through Cheshire and into Trafford then finally into Manchester.

So from J9, M56, jump on the A50 then onto B5158. Turn right at Lymm onto the A6144. Turn right onto the B5159. To the junction. Either go over the toll bridge, *12p one way, 25p all day ticket*, for a quick route into Manchester or go right and through Partington, Carrington, M60, Stretford and finally Manchester.
Just as you get to the toll bridge junction there's also a nice pub there called the Saracens Head. Might be good to stop and have a coke.

Route sounds good. What's the consensus? Before or after food? Anyone know any good drives in the area. I think the problem with the Republic of Mancunia is that from the City centre it's just urban sprawl for miles. Perhaps meet up in the Peaks/Pennines and then drive to the pub.
