VTI mods! :-)
Hi guys, i am the proud owner of a honda civic 1.8VTi, its absolutely amazing but sure i dont have to give u guys the pitch
was wondering, (as im greedy) is there any mods that can help me get some more BHP out the car? I hear its 167bhp standard, and my car hasnt even got an air filter on it, so if u guys could give me a list of mods to boost the power i'd be so grateful, obviously need to get an air filter and exhaust, but what kind?! also, a friend of mine has a 55 plate type R and has had KPRO installed, obviously this is for K series engine only, but are there any of these type of remaps about for the VTi engine? thanks a lot guys, and girlies |

PS - yes, definately get an air filter on it as soon as possible!
bits of twig don't mix too well with valves and pistons, and don't even think about what dust will do to the linings of the bores... |

VTI ...... I remember those.
Seriously though. Don't worry about getting the bhp up to start with. The cheapest way to get your VTI to go faster is by upgrading the brakes. Yes I know that sounds stooopid! Trust me. If all you want is 0-60 strip times then go forced induction. If you want a VTI which will be rapid around a track then get them brakes sorted. If you can brake later into the corner then you get round quicker. If all you do is put a set of braided Goodridge hoses on then that's a start. My brother has a VTI. Brakes was the first thing to be changed. Since then he has gone down the induction kit and exhaust. Sounds great but no real improvement on bhp. He has also put the strut braces on and this has tightened up the rigidity and that again helps the brakes. |

also if there is KPRO for it then go for it once you have uprated the brakes e.t.c as above
KPRO will completely change the character of the car, it was a godsend for the EP3 but im not sure if its available for the VTI? |

Have a look at the Hondata website to find out more. Check out the S100 ECU upgrade. |
