This is a Honda Forum NOT eBay and as such we like to express our opinions.
Regarding your numberplate:
Its illegally spaced and the letters are for show only.
So whats your point?
I believe this is in plain English too.
Good luck with your sale

......but set up as it is...totally illegal as it has incorrect spacing and wrong lettering...and your insurance will be void should you have an accident, as it should not be on the road.

That's the problem with it. It needs to be heavily "doctored" for it to read as "BAD BOYS". And £2500 is a lot of money to waste, only to be stopped once and have to put it back what it should read. "BA08 UYZ" looks like nothing really does it.

DVLA site says it is issued, I don´t know how these things work in the UK, but maybe the brokers are slow to update their databases.

Brokers also advertise numbers that are privately owned and then will contact the owners if they get any interest from prospective buyers.

I found my wife's number advertised on a site a couple of years ago. I contacted them and asked them to remove it.

they are claping down on these sorts of plates. after your 2nd fine of £30 for failing to change it to the correct plate the DVLA have the right to take the plate back, and i doubt you would get the money back for what you paid for it, and then be issued with another plate, try sorting that mess out with the insurance!!

There will be a lot of people stuck with plates that mean nothing as I see loads of really heavily "doctored" ones

This link is for 'RegTransfers' who are agents. It's not the DVLA site.

I know.

As I said, it was not available on the DVLA site.
DVLA Personalised registrations
So it has been issued.

The broker, or agent, link was just to indicate that their valuation was radically different.
I thought that was relevant information to any member wanting to buy this.

Interesting to learn that the brokers / agents advertise plates that are already issued and then hope to be able to buy them.
I did not know that.

By the way - according to the trading rules we are probably not supposed to be having this discussion in this thread.
Thread Split??

I have been contacted a few times by a broker asking if I would like them to advertise mine, whether they have had someone interested or not I don't know.

In theory though if they are contacted by a buyer for a specific number or series of letters there's nothing stopping them trying to get someone interested in selling and then making a tidy profit.

It doesn't look like £2500's worth to me, not displayed legally.
