If you have read all the faults that I had with my civic(s) then you would realise that it is not the best car in the world.

No offence but you are a salesman, your paid to SELL you are hardly ever going to say anything bad about a Honda, if ever you go an work for a different car manufacturer I expect it will be a different tale.

See thats what makes it so funny when people take the mickey out of other makes of car because right now someone somewhere will be saying "I now someone whose rear screen exploded for no reason, and it was a Honda"!!

TC, As bad as your experience was with your Civic, mine has been fantastic, NO major faults, the odd niggle, but that is to be expected with any new car. Mine is 18 months old now and I love it!
I had a terrible time with Renault before this, you see for every person with a bad experience there will be others with good experiences, Im sure there are people who have had no bother with thier Renaults, but I just let them be, I really do understand, but you are sounding to be very sour and maybe it is time to let it go?

Well thats is great - which is my point when people bad mouth every other make and tell people that they will live to regret it etc etc, I have never told anyone not to buy a civic because I had problems, but if people insist on constantly bad mouthing other cars I will continue to post about the faults that mine had.

I have had 2 Renaults and I swear I will never go anywhere near one in the future. It has put my off French cars completely.
I have had a few faults with my Civic, but Honda have been great and I love my car to bits.
I think TC has personal issues with thie Civic and likes to have jabs once in a while to remind us all

I am annoyed yes that I spent two years going back an forth to the dealers, driving a jazz an then losing almost £6000 but I wouldn't say that I would never buy one again.

Ok, for those that haven't been reading the other posts, i'll repeat my last post on the Ford related thread......

"We can keep running round in circles here but in a way, you have confirmed the point.

YOU had a Focus, early generation and had no faults.

YOU had a Civic that was riddled with faults.

Ergo - in your OPINION, the Focus is a much better car.

There will be many people out there that have had the opposite experience and will feel the opposite about the cars, not only Ford vs Honda but with all and any makes.

I have had the fortune/mis fortune to work for a few of the major manufacturers over the past 10 years or so and can honestly say that each and every one of them have cars that some people think are horror stories and others love to bits."

So, as you can see, i have worked with other makes and at no point have i said that the civic is the next sliced bread. I am realistic enough to know that faults happen with ALL makes and in MY OPINION, Hondas are a damn sight better than alot of the competition.

And with that, i'm ending my part in this childish squabble.

Posts taken out of a thread about a broken windscreen, because some were personal and not to do with the topic.

I see the chips are out again.

You have got the car you enjoy, why not just leave it there?

In connection with this post and FMEA's alledged connections to Ford yes i can. I wasn't the one jumping in with the Civic dig. I'll leave that to you, after all, you are so very good at it.

Yes I am - I have a lot of experience of Honda dealers, HUK and the Civic and its problems.

No Surprise there then!!

we have had
4 civics ( currently on the 4th)
2 CR-V's ( currently on the 2nd)

and no major ( and very few minor) issues with any of our Honda's
so I for one do have a lot of faith in Honda ( It would seem that there has been a larger percentage of problems with the civic than the rest of the Honda Range but it is still no worse than cars from other car manufacturers who build cars for the same market

we have owned cars from different manufacturers and had problems
that have made s look elsewhere (but never said that I would't buy another car from the manufacturer again)

Considering the number of civic's built and sold over the past couple of years I am quite sure we would have heard of any such issue long before Fema came along
