A public apology. Written after a heated 'supper table' discussion here at KF towers about the lack of original thought in modern life, my last post appears pompously instructive. It was meant to be neither, nor was it meant to be offensive, which, alas, I suspect it came across as.

I now go to hide in shame.

Whilst it gives me (and I'm sure Charles) a good feeling to see someone reconsider some thoughts and offer an apology for wording that may have appeared offensive, I'm afraid, geoff, that everybody is not "free to post what they like" and I consider telling someone to "get a life" as unnecessarily impolite, and therefore not in accordance with the rules.
