Nope, the Bassworks upgrade package is not available here. I asked him if he could just order me the speaker rings but they don't appear to be in his system.

He said he'd see what he can do but doesn't sound too hopefull.

The rings in the Bassworks package are different.
They have the text Bassworks on them.

The seperate ones are plain.

Honda part number for a pair is 08Z03-SMG-600D

You could try Holdcroft and ask them how much extra they would charge for for delivery to Australia:

Genuine Honda Civic Door Speaker Rings on eBay, also, Honda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Mar-08 16:34:39 GMT)

All they have to do is take the package down to the post office.

As it is outside of the EU, they would formally need to make an export declaration. Maybe the PO helps out with that?

Correct me if I am wrong - but the standard car does not have any black rings does it? Just the moulding on the door.

The thread you link to (before it corrupted into a Dire Straights discussion) was about colour coding the optional rings to the colour of the body paint.

Thanks for that. I'll give the part number to my dealer and see what he can do.

Mine has what "looks" like rings but they are part of the door moulding. They've just been finished in a very slightly different colour.

Yes that is true, mine also does not have rings on the door. There is only the moulding on the doors...

The standard ring and grill can be separated from the door panel. it can be removed by undoing several screws from behind the panel (ie you have to remove the door panel first).

This is useful if you are thinking or spray painting the rings. I think someone has done this on here.

Are the silver optional rings stuck on outside the existing rings or do you have to remove and replace them?

The optional rings are stuck on the outside, with 4 stickers. My opinion though is, that they are not the money worth. The plastic is so thin, like 1mm. And the quality of the paint on them looks very cheep. All this is concluded before even mounting them. Just by tuching them. So far I am actually considering that I probably will be better of painting the ones that are allready there if it's possible to take them off.

Just my opinion

By they way. In Denmark I had to pay 405kr which is 43£ for a set of 2 rings.

Thanks for that.

They are not very good value for money in my opinion...
I would need 2 sets for my 5 door.
