Hi, Not Sure It Would Work In Australia, As Its A U.k Phone. Postage Would Be Expensive Due To The Insurance.

Thats Why Its £225, As They Were £269. If You Buy One From The O2 Shop It Wont Even Work With An O2 Sim, As They Are Fully Locked Down Until They Are Jail Broken And Then Need To Be Unlocked After That.

The US ones work here... mate of mine has one and so do plenty of others...

I don't believe that there's any difference between the UK one and the US one...

Would still be interested to see what it comes to including postage...

Buy a hacked one instead. When (if) they come, they'll be bound to a long and expensive deal with a telecompany. And if they are to be sold free to use with any telecompany, they'll be way too expensive... I bought one from the US and hacked it myself, since they're not in Norway either. Lots of guides and "how toos" on the net so it should not be too difficult. Mine works just fine, no problems so far.

your supposed to take out a contract but thats not how it works !

You go to carphone warehouse or an O2 shop and pay your money for the phone then you are supposed to go home and sign up for your contract through itunes...

You dont!, instead you activate it, unlock it, jailbreak it. etc.

225 is a good price for a phone thats already to rock and roll if you dont know how to do it yourself !

Of course there will be no warranty on the phone if you do this or buy the ones being offered as it is not provided on phones that are not on the O2 network via the official tarriffs. It is a big risk to take on a £225 item.

Do you require a special sim card for the iPhone? Or can you just put in a Pay as you Go sim card? How does the WiFi etc. work then?

Vet_2010, i have a 16Gb iphone (show off haha) and any sim (but "3") would work.

In terms of "wifi", as long as you are near a hotspot or connected with a wireless router. I have found that i use O2 "edge" network which is GPRS internet (free with a £35 contract). I doubt you will be able to conect to GPRS through another network for free. They would charge. and through the nose at that.

But as i dont have a jailbreak iphone, i could be wrong!!!
